Usually outcall to your room (some offer incall).  Possible get certain services not available at brothel (BBBJ, DATY, DFK).
To ease their peace of mind, they usually screen and/or require references and/or the use of a third party verification service.
Easier for them to discriminate and/or cancel.
Pictures may not be accurate or be old.
Well reviewed providers tend to offer great customer service.
Usually cash only.  Paying for time rather than services.

Brothel:
Incall to NV county outside of Clark (or Washoe) that licenses legit brothels.  Closest ones to the strip are in Pahrump, roughly an hour drive one way.  No outcalls.
Legal to exchange money for sex.
Safe sex (sex workers at a brothel must be medically tested and cleared on a weekly basis).
You can meet the sex workers first and in some cases, chat with them beforehand before going up to their room and seeing the menu of services/list prices.
Negotiate/haggle for services (who wants to pay list price or another way of putting it, rack rate).
You can be explicit about services you want (not that you'll actually get them).
Your penis and surrounding area can be heavily scrutinized.
Sex workers can be overworked and tired since they're paid only if they come to an agreement with a customer.
Brothel may offer convenient ATM and cash advance services.
Most brothels have a full bar available on premise.  Some also offer food.

I'm probably missing some points here and there but that covers most of the bases.

...you don't have to trael from Las Vegas to Indianapolis to experience a brothel lady versus an Indy gal (though you still DO have to travel at least as far as Pahrump, NV)!

Assuming you meant to say INDIE, the biggest differnence between such ladies and their brothel counterparts is usually price (and not having to negotiate with indies), followed by the availability of BBBJ in many cases (which is not officially allowed in the brothels, though not impossible to find there). On the plus side for the legal brothels, certain houses have specialty and or themed rooms/bungalows with some "equipment" (BDSM, sex swings/chairs, etc.) that the average indie provider may not have access to even if she does offer incall service. And also you know the brothel courtesans are checked regularly for STDs. With indies you take more of a risk in that area, though almost all of the top-level providers are as health conscious as you would expect a true professional to be.

No contest, an Indie will  be  way more fun and  also cost you less. At the ranch you will end up feeling like  a wham bam .. unless you have   a couple grand to piss away and if you are going to do that you will have way more fun with an indie..

That may have been YOUR experience, but I've had many great parties in Nevada's brothels for WAY less than $1k/hr. You have to do your research beforehand and be a decent negotiator, but such encounters most certainly CAN be found within LPIN. Not all of the brothel ladies are "Wham bam, next please" providers. I've had some great GFE parties in the houses, as well as several memorable PSE experiences (some with actual adult film stars).

Another positive about the houses is that you almost always have readily available "backup" in case your favorite isn't there or had to leave on short notice. With indies, if your provider has to bail at the last minute (for whatever reason), it can all too often leave you "high and dry". Of course a top provider will try to assist you in booking a date with one of her friends, but your short-notice options will be severely limited at best in such cases.

I'm certainly not trying to claim that one is better than the other here, just that there ARE more differences than just price between indie & brothel ladies. And the cost differential isn't always as big a deal as it's generally made out to be. In other words, pay NO attention to the prices quoted on HBO's "Cathouse" series - those are the "menu prices" for the naive and/or wealthy (i.e., nobody who' done any research at all pays THAT much unless they're super rich and just don't care). There will always be brothel courtesans who try to maximize their income at the expense of clients, but you can always walk away if she's too set on a high rate and try negotiating with another lady in the same house (or go to a nearby competing house). But that requires patience and fortitude, something that many (if not most) customers lack when they have their mind (and other body parts) set on a particular provider.
