Encore/Wynn

When I come to LV I usually stay at least a week.  I stay at Vdara because of the extras that are in the suites.  Washer/Dryer, full kitchen with an ice maker etc...  Well my next trip is only going to be for a couple nights and I'm thinking of trying one of Steve Wynn's locations because I won't need the extras.

I was wondering about the gambling.  Specifically the video poker games.  Anybody spend any time playing in the Encore?  Does anyone know if they have 50 or 100 play video poker games, and if so what are the stake ranges?  Aria has machines that range from a nickel to $5.  Bellagio doesn't have any 50/100 play poker that I could ever find.

On another subject when I was in town recently I noticed some pretty high profile Ladies that advertise on TER hanging about at the Aria.  A couple apparently for the night club but a couple obviously working.  That was a bit of a surprise.  Am I going to see any of that at the Encore???  Just curious what security is like at the Encore.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

For 50 or 100 VP you should check out their High Limit Rooms. The Wynn's high limit slot area has been moved and is now next to the Red-8 restaurant. There's a High Limit Slots room in Bellagio and Encore as well.

See the link before for VP info in LV:

PRO's, prostitutes, and pimps are all in Sin City 24hrs a day!

I LOVE Cosmo, but you do not need the extras, so go to Encore that is another ATF of mine.

Yup!  I was shocked, shocked I tell You!  Unfortunately the most famous of all got gobbled up before I could make her acquaintance, unfortunately.

That's true but I was surprised this trip.  I don't usually run into the upper crust working the floors.  Maybe I just hang out at the wrong places.  Cosmo is not my cup of tea.  Too many twenty somethings running around in tight black dresses, (that's fine) carrying their shoes looking for a place to barf.  All the casinos have that but it just seems a little more concentrated at the Cosmo.  Plus I get comped at M life locations as well as discounts.  Not a big deal but it helps.  That's why the anxiety about moving to Encore for a few days.

I wouldn't mind running into you and your sister one of these days!  :)

I love the Cosmo because they take care of me, and I always have an excellent suite with a beautiful view of the water show.  The private terrace helps if you have friends who socially enjoy a good smoke.  The hotel is very new, so it attracts a younger crowd.  They also, have washer & dryer's to make your stay even more comfortable.

The potato chips at the Encore/Wynn are my ATF!

If you get comped by M Life, just move across the driveway to Aria. Great facility, still comped.

You summed up Cosmo pretty well....  It's a 24 hour frat party on steroids but the twenty somethings attempt to dress up nicer (than going to a frat party) but by the end of the night the ladies shoes come off, etc. and it's a shit show as you mentioned...  I'm a local who works on the strip and the only reason I ever venture into Cosmo is for the Pizza Joint (one of the best in town!).  They do have a nice room product with balconies (amazing but stupid in Vegas because there have been jumpers) but the crowd and the customer base is solely driven on the nightclub crowd which is why the place has never made any money since opening!  There are other technical reasons and I could go on and on but that's another story...

Wynn and Encore are on another level.  No one in town rivals the service levels you get there, my recommendation just based on your comments is to stay at Encore as it is a more intimate resort and you still could venture off to all of the restaurants and nightclubs at both Encore and Wynn..  Also there are a lot of hot ladies "working" there and in all of the nightclubs because you have the most high end patrons staying and gambling.  Please note that if you do invite a lady friend up you will have to walk her up to your room as security (purple coats) are positioned in every entry point to the guest rooms and suites at both Wynn and Encore so you have to show a room key to get up.  There are ways around it but none that I would care to mention on public forum.

Enjoy!

I hate the rooms in the Aria, and the view sucks.

Thanks for the info!  I know anything related to Steve Wynn is top notch.  My only concern is the gambling.  I only play certain types of machines and if they don't have them I'm up a creek.  It still might be worth a shot since it will be a less expensive stay then the Vdara.  Thanks again!

I stayed at the Wynn the last time and will stay there again (my new atf)... The Wynn is the smaller of the two when considering the Encore... The Encore is a suite... I can't give you information about the machines and the games because when I was there it was packed with people waiting to play... The staff at the Wynn said it was unusually busy... You also have the Palazzo and the Venetian across the bridge from the Wynn if you'd want to walk that way and gamble... The Wynn/Encore has the best restaurants (also 24 hour restaurants with good food)... Good luck.
