I'm planning on visiting Vegas and requesting a high end provider. Does it matter if I'm not staying at a fancy hotel or in a suite? e.g., will a regular room at the Mirage or equivalent suffice?

Hi, high end providers don't mind the kind of room you are in.  As long as the hotel is safe I am sure anyone is happy to meet you there.  The Mirage or equivalent is more than ok.  Let me know if you would like to meet me  

I think any providers will be fine with a room at Mirage, as long as you are not staying at Travelodge or Motel6 or somewhere dingy.

You shouldnt have much trouble findng a great girl to spend time with you at the Mirage!
