Definitely slower...

Well, I will chaulk up my lack of reviews to "extenuating circumstances" and leave it at that.

But even before the summer slowdown, it still seemed like activity has dewindled somewhat. I can understand the flip side of how girls might not to want to comment...it's all cool.

Alternatively, some of my favorites are getting 1 or 2 or more reviews per week..but not many.

I'll try harder in a month or so after boating seaon is done :-)

Since joining TER in 2008, I have amassed quite a few favorites; mostly just for future consideration. A couple years in, even though I didn't have as many favorites then as I do now, it seemed like there were many reviews of my favorites everyday. Now it seems they just trickle in.

Question is: Has the business slowed down that much or are guys just not posting reviews as much?

It's been a 3 1/2 year long weak economy, so maybe everyone has gotten used to it, but I don't see as many reviews so I thought it may be a topic for discussion.

But keep in mind this is also the slowest time of year, things will pick up in September.
In the mean time, time to pick up your pace, 3 reviews in 3.5 years? :-)

...and some of them don't because they have said the wrong thing on accident, have been asked not to or simply don't remember the details...

I know I have been in the last category. To wrapped up in the moment to really remember what happened.

When will you guys finally understand "how many reviews" isn't an indication of-
how busy or slow it is for a provider.

I haven't gotten a new review since April .
Why ?  well, it isn't because I am slow. ;-);-) ;-)

First off because I don't hold a gun to peoples head forcing them to write a review. ;-)
Nor do I even ask for reviews.
If the Gent wants to write a review,  then he does it because he wanted to write the review.

Second I have many , and I mean MANY repeat clients.
Some who have already written reviews so they are not going to write reviews over and over again. While others don't have interest in writing reviews.

Third , not to talk about those who write a review, but for some reason the review doesn't get
approved.

There are ladies who ask Gents to write a review ,so maybe those ladies seem to get "more reviews" that doesn't mean they have "more work"

and note to everyone who emailed me wondering if I am retired because my last review was from April .........seriously ?!?!?!?!  that is what made you think I have retired ???
a working website , paid ads up , a working phone number and email ........ all that isn't a clue
No worries I am working. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Maybe I should hold a gun to peoples heads LOL LOL LOL

So now you know the reasons why.........don't judge a book by it's cover ;-);-) ;-)
and no need to worry how busy it is or not.

Have fun , be happy

It was more of a general statement inquiring to the state of the biz in Vegas and not in any way directed at any particular provider. I did not to intend it to be internalized by any one person.

It just seemed strange that the volume of reviews had gone down, so I asked. Like I said some of my favorites are getting 1 to 2 reviews a week. They probably don't have the luxury like you of having regulars, so they get reviewed more.

No harm, no foul.

Of course no harm , no foul.
I think you are missing my point.

I never thought your post was directed at any particular provider.
And I used my self as an example of "reasons why no reviews" .........not about any one person.
and there can be many ladies that are not getting new reviews for the same reasons I wasn't getting new reviews.
Creating a total of ............"not a lot of new reviews"

So , while to you it seemed strange that the number of reviews has gone down and wondering if that is due to slow business or slow economy.
Since you asked.....well..........
I was trying to explain that "how many reviews" doesn't translate to "how much business"

and while on the subject of reviews ( anyone who reads my posts knows I always get sidetracked with other related issues ;-) ;-) ;-)  ;) I thought to also let people know-
no new reviews, doesn't mean retired.

No harm , no foul ,

conversely I haven't written a review in 2 months, doesn't mean I haven't seen a provider.

my point exactly ;-)....see it is your fault number of reviews are down . You are seeing ladies and not writing reviews LOL LOL LOL Just kidding/teasing you.
and the other point exactly too...... who cares ,  ;-) ;-) what does it matter how many reviews ??

Only thing that matters is that based on reviews you figure out who is legit , is she the type you are looking for OR is she a rip off...........how many reviews does one need to figure all that out ??

Anyways he wanted a discussion , well he got one now *wink wink*

Well JJJ
I am sure all providers will want you to try "Harder", Much Harder - I think most of us  hobbyists try our hardest. Ok lame joke.

I have not seen many providers, I would say economy is partly to blame (Wish I worked for those GSA people - then I would be fine)

Secondly I think there may be a lot of people not writing reviews.

Third, some people may be fearful of writing a review due to the increase of better technology, spyware etc on pc's. Most people are not too sure "who is watching you".

I just encourage all hobbyists to write accurate reviews.
I think if you need a provider you really had a good time with you really owe it to her to let others know how good she was (if she agrees to you writing a review, I always as her)

The main intent behind this thread was mostly born out of geniune concern. I have lost 4 to retirement and all of them cited the economy to varying degrees.

The rest was just out of curiosity. I didn't know that was going to be a launchpad for a diatribe, but I don't care and it doesn't bother me. Rant on! :-)

That I've noticed this year...

Are the lack of reviews coming through for new and upcoming talent that makes me go Hmmmm???

Been awhile since I submitted a review that made Page 1 or 2 of a provider's resume. (AKA... somebody new and up and coming.)

I don't think lack of reviews for the established providers coming through is really any indication of how busy they are... especially for the ones that rock and take care of their clients for repeat business. I certainly don't write reviews over and over of the same provider I see again and again...

I think it has more to do with the lack of  "You've gotta check this new one out" guys thing for the lack of reviews getting your attention because I've certainly noticed that.

Perhaps it's so busy that even the newbies don't need TER to start off?
