I can't seem to get the calssic version on my phone though.  Either mobile version or new version only available (so it seems).

not sure if it's iphone thing or what,no classic & the new version won't give a drop down menu for regional boards or discussion boards ,anyone else having this prob ,it really does suck so far

I thought TER was gonna fix the "bumping" problem
on new format of discussion boards.

It seems that some fixes are in the not too distant future.  I can't say exactly when (because I don't know), but I do know that they're trying to make it better.

weigh in on this new format for the discussion boards! I have waited until now to comment because I wanted to give it some time and become familiar with it, but time is up now!

When I am on the road, which is most of the time, I don't have time to search the entire board for new threads, which I might be interested in seeing! Today I came to this board and EVERY thread on the first page was one I had already seen, although there must be some newer posts on each thread which I haven't seen yet. I REFUSE to go to the second page to see what new threads might be there! I just don't have that much time! If there is a thread which I might be interested in seeing any new posts within, I NEVER had a problem finding that thread under the old system! So I think this "bumping" system totally sucks!

If, as I understand, the girls are not getting as many hits on their web sites from TER since this started, I guess I am not the only person who feels this way! If the new system is hurting business, TER is in jeapardy, I think, of losing its status as the premiere board for the hobby! I hope this new system doesn't last long!

Since I normally look through several boards where I travel and my favorite ladies are, I see some of the same comments about the new version.

The biggest complaint is the bumping of threads and I too hate it.  I also don't have the time to look for a specific thread.  With the old version, I can just find it by the time of the original post.

It would be nice to have a list of what they are planning to fix and also what fixes they have done.  That way you aren't surprised when something changes and can't figure out why.

Until then, I'll stay with the classic version as long as I can.

On one hand, the concept of responses to post [ the thread] being hidden is good.  Ideally it prevents a post from being knocked off the page by  rambling threads or agencies that submit multiple pics and schedules for their ladies on a single thread [ common on the DC board].  However, the reality is ..it simply is not working.  The hidden thread has killed the sense of community and interest in dialog.  Much is missed and frankly it often seems a waste of time to post a comment.   There are some features I like about the new format.  But I fear it has really had a negative affect on the Message Boards.

I cant get TER on my iphone, Its always the same stuff and I also hate going to the second page to see things. I wish the classic TER would come back!

I have the original IPhone. It is over three years old and I will replace it soon.
I can see the pull down lists. I also have a new IPad and it works fine.

Now when there is a label coming across, the list box is not shown where there is a label.

Several problems with the new software, but I have been using it exclusively since it began.
I also dislike the bumping.
I also have kept quiet, waiting to see results.

I own a software company and I know how important it is to get the "customers" involved at the beginning.
Also test and retest before a customer finds a problem.

There are several nice features, like saving the queries.
The programmers are making changes, but they do not appear to be telling anyone.
In my view, there should be a central view of what they will and will not fix. Knowing what is going on is really of use.

As per usual TL, a well thought out and reasoned post. I completely agree. It seems it is the new discussion board format that is causing the most angst; both with hobbyist AND providers.

I am hopeful that TER listens. It would not be an overwhelming software write to incorporate the classic DB format within the newer overall motif.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.

...is to be able to click on a link that takes you to a list of all new posts since your last visit!!  Our local hobby board has that and it's great.  

Personally, I've been switching between the classic version and the new format, with a definite preference for the classic.  Seems the overwhelming majority of folks, ladies and gents, don't like the newbie.  So is admin listening or are they just like "Congress"???

Is it me or since this was posted, we can now see ALL the responses?  As a thread not just the OP line?  Or maybe I just haven't been on enough to realize that changed a while ago??  I know with all the changes I don't visit as often.  The boards or chat for that matter.

I may just start paying attention again.
