Thank you for the very informative reply. It's very important to me for visitors to go straight to the room.

Since Caesars is one of the hotels that I seem to visit quite a bit , I know the history of
it's security and room keys
Years ago a room key was required ( for any tower ) to get past security and get to the room.
When Caesars opened the Augustus tower , they put a security guard 24/7 for the Augustus tower.
Due to budget cuts they took the security guards away from the other towers.
At that time , since most guests were put in the Augustus tower , it didn't make sense to have security at the other towers.
In the mean time Caesars was remodeling all of the old towers ( Centurion, Roman, Palace, and Forum ) and working on building another new tower. ( Octavius Tower.....which is now open )
Looking to save more money , they started security at the Augustus tower from 10:00pm till the morning. instead of 24/7
By the time the other towers were back in use and the new Octavius was also open , the whole - show your room key to a security guard was eliminated to save on extra costs.
On rare occasions if some VIP is staying at the hotel or if something major is really going on they MAY , put a guard from 10:00 pm till the morning by the Augustus tower which also leads to the Octavius tower..........but that is really very very rare.
Since the beginning of the year I have been to all of the towers. all hours of the day and night .
Security has never been around.
I was at Caesars during SuperBowl weekend and MAJIC ........ still no security by the elevators.
So as of now a visitor can get to your room with out a room key
As you can see , because of this history people may not have a clear answer of yes or no and why maybe there is confusion about it .
But Spice girl always has the inside scoop *wink wink*
BTW there are ladies out there ( like myself ) who understand that a gent may need discretion and can not risk being seen in public with a lady.
The gent is here on business and may have many other business associates staying at the same hotel.
There is no need to meet me at Valet ........ I don't even park at Valet.
To be private and to keep a low profile ,I self park.
and no need to meet at a bar either .
Although there are many ways to be discreet and meet a lady to give her a room key if that is required to get to the room .
Defiantly coming to a hotel that doesn't require a room key to get to the room , scores extra points.
