I will pm u & LV has lots of great deals on sweet hotels!

I'll be in Vegas for a convention and have made arrangements to stay at Platinum.  However, I recently came across Aria and am interested.  Recommendations, from both gents and ladies, as to which is the better choice, both in terms of accommodation and provider friendliness, is appreciated.  You can either respond in the thread or privately.  Thanks in advance for your help.

the Platinum is near Koval...you want to stay away from that street...IMO

It's a new place and word is the security has been very heavy there. They have been participating in some of the pre-election activities. They even had Obama there.

Seriously folks, the NYNY is actually a pretty good spot to roost, security there doesn't really care what you do, just as long as you keep it out of the hallways lol and they have some super nice suites for a fraction of what you'd pay at Caesars or the Venetian but just as nice.

Just don't order the lobster there, they don't do a very good job on the steak lol

Actually, I've always enjoyed Gallagher's Steakhouse in NYNY, and Nine Fine Irishmen has great salmon.

Mind being more specific? The parking is all-valet, so there's not a lot of people around the parking garage.

I dislike very large hotels and having to walk miles to the elevators. For the past 13 years I have patronized the Hooters, formerly the San Remo which is centrally located directly opposite the MGM Grand. Several years ago, a Japanese conglomerate bought the San Remo and invested many millions of dollars to modernize it. I go there four times a year and love everything about it...including of course the Hooter girls who not only waitress but also are the dealers, etc. BTW, their rates are always very reasonable, particularly if you catch an email special...I am arriving this coming week and the daily rate is only $24.99. Such a deal.

I heard about  many complaints for bed bugs at the Hooters.
