Is it worth driving out for from san diego and are the private parties worth it?
Ive been to both private and non-private parties during avns. The non private parties arent bad but getting o talk to you favorite PS one on one for long periods of time then isnt likely to happen not to mention theyre usually in their own VIP section there. The private parties, you can usually talk to them longer then but those are usually invite only parties where you know someone in the industry. Both arent bad but its like the sessions themselves, YMMV
Well the parties are hit and miss. And I think the show will be even smaller this year because of how the industry is going but there is some fun kinky stuff upstairs.
But I am totally going because its the social event of the month!! Everyone hangs out at the Hard Rock circle bar allllll night.

Two kinds of private parties: The kind you buy a ticket for, and the kind you have to be invited to. The latter ones are better, but you need to be connected somehow to the porn industry, i.e., part of the supply side, or else a porn retailer. If you are there placing decent-sized orders for pornos to sell in your dildo shop, you will definitely get invited to some of the private ones. If you're just a guy drooling over the models and porn stars, you probably won't. You can buy your way into the ticket type, but its mostly going to be guys in the room, with a few porn stars available for selfies and autographs. Not worth it in my opinion. Went to AVN a few times years ago. It was enough. Bottom line, if its on your bucket list, go. You'll probably have some fun even if you can't get into the private events.
