If There is a Security Check, They Usually Just want to Make Sure Someome Has a Room Key, They aren't anything to Worry about.

Not to sound dumb, but this will be my first time in Vegas (yes, I'm a Vegas-Virgin).  What are security checks?  Any advice anyone could offer would be MUCH appreciated.

Loads of Love,

Nic

Some hotels have a check point at the guest elevators. Some start at night (around 8 pm, others are 24/7). The purpose it to prevent non-guests of the hotel to loiter around the upper floors.

You simply show your key(card) before getting on the elevator - it's no big deal.

and meet them in a bar or restaurant area near the elevator banks.  You can do something similar if you are doing incalls in a hotel that has security checks.

Some hotels also set aside levels that required room-keys to operated the elevator (e.g. New York, New York, the Deluxe room level of the Grand Tower in MGM Grand).

Ask the local members here which hotels have security check so you won't be surprised.

Take care and happy New Year.
