I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Lion King with a nice gentleman.  We had seats in the third row - middle. I would definetly recommend getting seats up close as much as possible. For me at least being able to actually "see" the emotion on the faces of the cast, is what brings out the raw emotion and get's me involved more.

Lion King has always been my favorite disney movie, so I knew for me this was a can't miss. But it was more then I could have even hoped for. The costumes were like no other I have ever seen in any production. The complexity of the headdresses and makeup were just amazing! Living not that far from NYC over the years, I did have the chance to see several broadway productions. This one topped them all by a landslide!

The music and singing was gorgeous. I get goosebumps just thinking about the opening number. One jawdropping scene after another followed. It follows the story we all know so well perfectly.

My personal favorite part was with Mufasa and Simba interacting. brilliantly played by the two of them. And Scar was quite entertaining as well.

Two and a half hours, that goes by like an hour. There is a short intermission built in as well.

All hail the Lion King!

Thanks honey, I've been looking forward to seeing the Lion King, since I heard it was comming to Vegas.  I am glad is as good as they make it sound, hopefully I can see it soon.  Does it matter if you have closer seats, or do the middle section get more action as they can see the stage clearer on either sides??

I think in this case mid section seating would be fine since the headdresses are so large. I enjoy being able to see the actors faces and the emotions on them. *smile*
