Most don't know or don't want think the other "side" of what life is like in some countries. Even you would visit Seoul many never see the countryside or non tourist areas.
South Korea has some very rich cities, and some very poor rural areas. Its like that in most Asian countries except maybe Japan. In Asia we have large populations and little real land. Most farm land given to farm rice as its cheap to grow and easy to sell. To farm cows is very expensive and hard. Dogs roam free, fuck all the time. More puppies more dogs. There is difference between pet dog and what in Philippines we call "asclan" or stray dog. If a asclan look healthy, and stick around long enough it is going to be stew in some poor family dinner one day. I doubt it much different in Korea than in Philippines. Just my observation Christine
Ironically my birthday is in late January and I always thought I was born in the year of the pig (big surprise, right?), but after looking at the Chinese almanac for the year I was born, i was born before lunar new year and it turns out I am a dog, not a pig, also not much of a surprise, woof woof, oink oink.
