Hey everyone, just wondering if there was an independent Kgirl that was around southern california? Or do they all work through korgs?

EJ looks like she has gone independent but not sure how far south your are. She looks to be in OC area. Find her on P411.

But this is also from seeing her profile on P411 about 18 months ago so not sure how active she is these days.

EJ is independent and I saw her last month. Asia, Amber, Rebecca, and Cari are quality independent kgirls with well worth a visit but you do have to go thru their bookers.

If they have bookers how are they indy?

Lots of girls have bookers but don't belong to an agency. You've said you frequent amps and strip clubs so perhaps that's why you don't know this.

At least here in DMV they are.

The booker is just a paid assistant.

I suspect that is the reason ;)

I also visit indy providers, some with assistants. Based on my limited experience with k-orgs I assumed that all girls belonged to at least one org and none were truly independent. See - I learn something new every day :D

What makes the difference for you between indy, org or a hybrid of the two?

K girls who can command sufficient regular clients simply don’t need agencies who take ~40% of their donations.  Even with rent, booking fees, etc they make substantially more as indies.  legends like Sexy Lohan first started as an agency girl then moved on as an indy.

There are a couple on that E word website, though most of them don't look to be your typical Kgirl. Probably more asian-american than actual kgirl

that maintain their own incall still use bookers for screening customers.  There is only one I know of that has done her own screening, but after being busted twice, she has now gone back to using a booker. The Kgirls depend on the booker to set the standards for screening in order to keep them safe.  So even though they have their own incall and are not part of a K-org, getting in is no easier, and sometimes even harder than with the girls working from org incalls.

But do they work from a 1 bedroom apartment or share a 2 bedroom with another working girl?

THAT, my friend, is the important question to place someone in the Kgirl set or not. That's why the local Thai girls and Thai lady-guys are also "kgirls".

This analysis comes from no less an expert than the guy who doesn't know KakaoTalk.

I'm going to start my own kgirl agency and the business model is going to be strictly low volume, books her own appointments, works from a studio apartment with another kgirl standing in the kitchen, and charges whatever rates she feel like. I'm going to call it, "Alias's Original KGirl Hut," and our motto is going to be, "Nobody knows the KGirl Industry like we do."

Oh, and all our kgirls are going to be either black, white, latina, native american, middle eastern or indian.

interested in knowing how you tell an "actual Kgirl" from a "typical" "asian-american" working girl simply by the way they "look."  I'm anxious to learn something new, because I sure as hell don't know the difference by looking at someone.

Great question CDL, thank you for asking! The differences are plenty for astute mongers that have been in the game forever.

Asian American girls are easy to spot due to a heavy influence of western culture in their fashion, makeup, body type, instagram style photography, visible tattoos, lifestyle (pics in expensive cars, jets, beach, etc) Like most American girls in their 20s and 30s, Asian girls born and raised in america will be heavily influenced by the Kardashians. It is a very distinct style of makeup, fashion, plastic surgery. If an Asian girl has butt implants I would be willing to bet my house that she was born in america.

Contrast that with an ad from a "typical" kgirl. Most often you will see them wearing bikinis or lingerie. If she's wearing an outfit like a dress or school girl or whatever, it'll likely have a dated look. I'll get to the reason for that in a bit. Makeup will look more natural or more likely to have her face blurred out altogether. It's also a phenomenon for the face to have a weird photoshopped look, like possibly a poor attempt at placing someone else's face on another person's body. You don't see that with Asian American girls. Body type will almost certainly be slim or skinny, maybe athletic at most, as that is the preference in Korea, Vietnam, China, Japan, etc. Oh, I forgot about pale skin, another preference in Asian culture, as opposed to a healthy tan for all our caifornia girls. I don't know if I've ever seen a visible tattoo on a kgirl in her ad, even if she has one in real life. The reason for this and also the blurred or photoshopped face is because kgirls are highly cautious about being outed in real life. This is the reason why occasionally you'll see that the girl will not see men from their country of origin. Korean girls born and raised in Korea are far more likely to be heavily influenced by kpop and korean drama stars in their fashion, makeup, body type, plastic surgery, etc. Basically the polar opposite of what a Kardashian looks like.

Finally, the photography. Your typical kgirl ad is going to look more like an old school photoshoot. The fashion, makeup, style of photography will all have sort of a dated look. The reason for this is because most of the time the photos were taken 10+ years ago! You see, most kgirls started out as salon girls in Korea. The preference for salon girls is super young, so once they "age out" in their late 20s, they hop a plane for America and start working for the agencies here. They'll have a bunch of photoshoots done when they first start out at the salon, enough to last them all throughout their kgirl career. This is why so often reviews start out like, "I think she is the girl in the pictures, but I couldn't tell for sure." Often it is the same girl, the pictures are just 10-15 years old! Instagram beauty filters weren't a thing 10 years ago, so these ads will have a dated photoshop feel, while Asian American girls will use filters and photoshop technology far more advanced.

Anyways, it does feel great to spread some useful knowledge! It takes a big man to admit that he doesn't know everything about the kgirl scene and ask when he has questions. I think this is what they call progress! I'm proud of you!

Maybe it has changed. But, the majority of independent kgirls I have known over the years, didn’t commonly let it be known they were independent except with regulars. It was safer, and cheaper, to let most customers believe they were protected by an org rather than letting people know they had to figure out and cover the costs for their own protection.

I will admit to preferring to frequent independents. But I have a preference for strong willed, independent women in general. When a girl like that decides she likes you there is no mistaking it. And a lot of fun to be had.

That said, I’ve never seen a successful effort to identify all of the independent kgirls in an area since the death of the Livre Rouge community. So, it’s probably best to ask those you trust via DM.

I know some people believe in the fantasy that all can and should be shared in reviews and forum entries. It’s a lovely ideal. But I’ve never seen it in practice.

Where some of us post from it has always been plain to see who was independent.

It is hard to pretend you are with an agency that hosts itinerants when you are sedentary.

You guys that seem so mystified by the world should get out and experience more of it. LOL.

So, no Koreans in your Kgirl agency?

The first two I encountered like that were Bobo and then Megan.  Bobo is the only one I ever saw that worked from a one-bedroom incall.  She did not live there, only maintained it for her business, but it was in the same sprawling complex as about a dozen other incalls spread across four agencies.    Megan's incall had a girl in the other room, but Megan got the org cut and paid the booker out of it for the other girl.   She indicated that the revenue from the other girl alone paid all of the fixed overhead for the incall location, which meant that on Megan's own customers, she got her normal cut, plus the org cut.  Her only expense on her own revenue was the booker fees, and because she kept the same booker ("M") she had when she was at an org, only a few of her regulars even knew she went independent when she did.  As you say, they prefer to let most customers believe they are still with the org.  She used the extra money to maintain a separate residence apartment in a newer Ktown high rise.  She called it her "resting place."  Floor to ceiling windows with a great view.  I wish I would have taken it over when she moved out.  It would have come in handy later on.  Lol

I dated another girl who had done the same thing in the Bay Area several years ago.  Because the org cut was smaller and the rates were lower, she abandoned the idea after the year's lease was up.  In order to make it pay, she needed to keep the other room going continuously throughout the month, because she was off one week a month for her period.  She often had trouble avoiding a week off for the other girls as well, and that made the difference between a profit and a loss.   If she tried it now, there are more girls these days looking for places to work, so she could probably keep the second room fully booked, plus find a girl to work her room the week she is off.  Sometimes it's just a question of timing and location.  This girl is still working off and on, so I cannot name her.  Bobo has been retired four years and Megan about two and a half years, so I don't mind naming them.
