K-girls

So some guys I guess feel Kgirls are easy targets to write a fake review on and get VIP status.  Here is one I noticed recently by Ironman25 http://www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/showReview.asp?Review=1707338 .  If you have seen others feel free to post on this thread.

That review is as fake as they come and hopefully it will get deleted ASAP.

I guess I should have said in the post why I thought it was fake.

- reviewer said she had red hair which she never has
- reviewer said she offered anal which she never has

He never even took the time to read some of her other reviews and get it close to reality.  It's just a hatchet job claiming she does anal.  Fortunately with her reputation she doesn't have to worry about this kind of trash.

...is NOT of a K-girl, so there goes your paranoid theory.

More than likely, he is just a cheap asshole who will post two fake reviews per month in order to get and keep free VIP.  That's one way to tell a fake reviewer; the pattern is obvious.

Yeah, the guy sounds like a cheap punter. He picked 2 providers with a lot of reviews so his would be drowned out in the noise. TER you know what to do. Suspend the freeloading bastard.

Isn't it dangerous to suggest a menu that doesn't exist?

To be clear, the reviewer describes Scarlet as a "natural red head."  This suggests to me that the reviewer has not even met Scarlet.  Scarlet's name suggests red but not her hair color.

This guy is not only a cheap asshole...lazy, demented, and dangerous are additional descriptions I would use.

I have met Scarlet, she's quirky, it's great to me.  I can understand low scores because of her being quirky but this review is pure fiction, dangerous fiction.

I hope it's pulled.

LOL if he had said her hair was a little more brown, no anal and gave her a 7/7 he might have gotten away with it.

Yea one of his 2 reviews wasn't a Kgirl (but also probably fake), but this is a Kgirl board.  :)  And he still probably felt she was an easy target.  Problem reports have been submitted, let's see if TER does the right thing and pulls them both.

I usually do not participate in the forum discussion like this. But, he definitely picked a wrong target. SR is one of the best with a solid reputation. Everyone knows this is a fake review.

Well, all I can do is add my voice to the chorus. Anyone who has seen Scarlet Red even once will know this review is entirely a work of fiction -- and a lazy one at that.

It's so obviously fake that if TER doesn't delete it then they are doing a disservice to paying members (like me) who pay to read legit reviews, not BS made up crap like this targeting one of the best providers on the k-scene or any other scene

.... whether or not TER will act upon this. I agree that this review looks as phony as a three dollar bill, but I have found that in the past TER is reluctant to act on these reviews unless the provider herself gets involved. And that can be difficult since many of the K-girls are not all that fluent in English. Hopefully TER will get more involved in these matters such as these.

...There already is a problem report filed so no one else can get in to report it.  But everyone else can contact TER to report the phony reviewer.  If TER hears from a lot of guys who have actually seen Scarlet Red, they will probably take action.

The stupid guy was so lazy that he saw the name "Scarlet Red" and assumed she was a redhead without bothering to check her profile or reviews.  He even said she was a "natural" redhead.  What an idiot!

I agree it is an uphill battle unless the provider themselves complain.  I don't think it is a fluency issue but rather the hassle of joining, monitoring your reviews and filing a complaint when there is a fake one.  Most of the Kgirls just won't do that which is why we need to stick up for them and hopefully convince TER to do the right thing when there is an obvious fake review.

It's almost impossible to prove that a review is fake (unless it was copied word for word from another review). However, for well-reviewed providers, these outlier reviews generally don't make much difference, as other potential customers will notice them, and, will usually figure out to discount or disregard them. She has 59 other reviews by which one can evaluate her. The review doesn't really have anything negative, but it is just written poorly. So, minimal "harm" is done.
I am more offended by shill reviews, whether real or not, as they cause others to spend $ for experiences/looks that are misleading.
Fake and exaggerated reviews have always been done, for as long as TER has been around.
People just need to be wary of the reviews that are out-of-the-norm from the majority

Thank you for sharing.  To be clear, and I think this causes an issue with your conclusion:

1. You say an "outlier" review as having minimal impact.
2. Then say a shill review is more offensive due to misleading descriptions of experiences and looks.

I think it needs to be clarified that the review is being condemned for the very reason you state in your conclusion.  The reviewer has items listed in his review that are not on her menu and provides a description that is absolutely not her.

We are looking at different sides of the same coin.  You worry about spending $ for experiences/looks that are misleading.  I would prefer that Scarlet Red never be put into a position to explain her menu to someone who felt he was misled.  Misplaced anger, in whatever form, should be avoided at all costs.

This is not an "issue" as this is my opinion. Shill reviews aren't necessarily outliers, that's why I refer to those types of reviews separately. I am referring to those reviews that give 9s & 10s to providers who are probably 8s, but are portrayed as superstars. These are more difficult to spot because people can always say ymmv or beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Your example just demonstrates my point from the provider perspective, although I'm not that concerned about that "issue" as you are. I think providers would not complain if they got higher ratings where specific menu details are not described.

Good point!  I appreciate your follow up.  I'm not a fan of rating systems either and your point is dead-on.

Although we continue to look at opposite sides of the same coin I agree with you.  I've seen too many providers blamed for the over-exuberance of review ratings.  Thanks.
