I have recently heard from informal sources that several K-org establishments in my area may be planning to either close or relocate in the near future. This trend has been noticeable for some time, coinciding with the rise of the J-girl scene. Over this period, there has been a clear decline in K-girl reviews, related postings, and discussions—both on other forums and here.

This raises the question: Is the slowdown primarily due to the growing presence and popularity of J-girl and V-girl businesses encroaching on K-girl market share? Could it be the result of unhealthy competition, broader economic challenges, or other factors?

A few months ago, there was discussion here regarding how the Real ID Act might affect the K-girl industry. In the weeks leading up to May 7, 2025, many K-girls reportedly avoided air travel. Yet, as we have now observed, airlines are not verifying valid visas for domestic flights. Still, the number of K-girls touring between the East and West coasts appears significantly lower than in previous years.

Interestingly, a few new K-orgs are emerging or being planned in secondary or mid-tier cities, which adds another layer to the puzzle.

What do you think is driving this slowdown—shifting preferences toward J-girls or V-girls, aggressive competition, broader economic downturns, or even policy changes such as tariffs?

I know Thai sex workers are traveling to South Korea for work these days. More affordable than local offerings and younger.  
Maybe they're pushing out South Korean sex workers out of the industry.

A few years back I had a conversation with one of the escorts about the increased BBFS offering and she was really worried about competitive pressures to offer it. Basically, she saw that as something she would not do so thought she would not be able to make a living as a non-BBFS escort. Perhaps that is reducing the number of Korean escorts who are willing to come to the USA for work -- be it 90 day visits or getting a longer visa to work.  

 
It is a bit of a puzzle and certainly hope I'm not going to get back home to find my favorite places gone.

 
The relocations, in the same general area at least, actually make sense. A number of the agencies have been in the same location for years and years.

it sure looks like ATM has a couple of new girls coming in a few days that look like they have some serious potential.  

 
Sadly, I'll have to hear about their reality, not go check it first hand, as I'm sure they will not stay long enough for me to get back. I can hope they like the reception they get and return I suppose.

I think lack of new talent has caught up and now I also notice new jgirls and viet girls are taking advantage of this.

 
 However I don't think the slowdown is because of that, it's the other way around - the v/jgirl influx is because of the slowdown imo. Mongers are interested in trying someone new and since there aren't many new kgirl offerings...

 
I also noticed mant kgirls who historically haven't toured are moving around different new markets. Such as SLC or Nashville. And this makes it even worse service wise for me in the bay area cuz many service queens havenr been here in months.  

 
Hell, the first time I saw my girl Kira was in SLC I thought some Mormon guy would definitely get his bbfs greek cherry taken a and feel violated lol. Miss my aggressive queen as well as miss the other queen, Yuffie....

Its going to be based on where I'm at, LA. Maybe this is happening elsewhere, maybe the Bay area but I could be wrong.  I see it happening in Vegas but this seems like a hard nut to crack.
Gonna tell you what I see in my area, The San Gabriel Valley, COrgs are the thing. Its because in my area they aren't KGirls. They just haven't or cared to establish a presence here. I think I get why but. I can literally drive down the hill from my home, hit the main street and there's 4-5 COrgs within a mile or less from me. They've filter into the San Fernando Valley and all along the base of the San Gabriel mountains. But this is what I find surprising. They're finding their way into Korea town, Downtown LA and here's where I'm really surprised. they're in Irvine and Tustin in the Orange County. A year or so ago, you never saw that.
Plus these Orgs have upped their game. Some Orgs have, or so they say Japaneses, Koreans, Latinas and Eastern Europenas. Some of the CGirls can give a KGirl a serious run for their money in the looks and at a 1/3 less. Service may be a tad off, no rimming and DFK is definitely a YMMY kinda thing. But other then that you can get the same service. Plus the COrgs aren't as intrusive, be it a good thing or not but they won't ask for your first born and they''re not assholes.

This is just my most humble opinion.

From my observations—at least within my area—several dynamics appear to drive the competitive displacement of Corgs by Korgs, beyond the simple fact that Corgs consistently introduce younger Japanese providers.

First, while not universal, many local Corgs operate across multiple websites, either rotating their usage or maintaining them simultaneously. The underlying rationale seems twofold: (1) to minimize scrutiny from local LE by dispersing visibility, and (2) to circumvent platform restrictions. For instance, when one site restricts or bans new reviews by TER, operators often establish an alternate platform solely for review postings.

Second, Regarding the "moving $", this reveals additional layers of operational adaptation. While not all Corgs appear to engage in such practices, sources indicate that some also employ  legitimate and front-business strategies. One retired Cgirl  disclosed that during her monthly hiatus from agency work, she supplemented her income by bartending at a restaurant affiliated with the group.

Third, the organizational structure of local Corgs appears simultaneously competitive and collaborative. Although they vie against one another for clientele, many remain interconnected, often through shared reliance on the same Japanese-girl brokerage networks originating from New York City.

There is definitely an uptick in Thai, J, K, C and Viet providers.  More supple and an increasing hourly fees are factors.  It's harder to track the C & J agencies as they have constantly shifting store fronts.  I really wouldn't consider it as closures.  Also, its not a closure if the business is sold to someone else.   I really wouldn't worry about the oldest profession enduring.
