I’d like to make Kgal visits and have the option to use bitcoin as donation, I understand its not completely anonymous. Maybe one day it will happen!

Also Koreans are really into crypto currencies.

wouldn't the transaction fees for using BTC be kind of high for a session?
Litecoin makes more sense here.

there are many differences between venmo/ paypal and bitcoin/cryptos.  the biggest being anonymity and lack of identifying information needed to make the transfer.

I am still new to the Bitcoin. I have only experimented in buying it recently. I could not open an account anonymously and I can only transfer $500 each day from my bank account. I can easily withdraw couple thousands of cash without any problem.

The advantage to her is she can flake out without having to provide services.

The advantage to you? Haven't figured that one out yet...

The anonymity is only to a degree. When I send or receive, I send to a specific address and receive to a different specific address. Can create multiple addresses. Address do not have names, but with time and effort can be traced, which is why it’s only anonymous to a degree, not completely anonymous.

You can't arrest someone for having a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars in cash in their pockets.

Re: Cash leaves physical evidence, i wonder the implications wth bitcoin transfer - e
As I understand it, if you created your bitcoin account anonymously, you remain anonymous even though the transactions are completely traceable and verifiable. However, when you want to convert your bitcoins to cash, there may be a loss of anonymity, depending on the amount (and where you are, government regulation-wise). What I do not know is if, at cashout, your loss anonymity extends to all of your previous transactions.
.
Real name: Mr. Fullofterrors; owns bitcoin account 12345 with a balance of ~$50,000;
12345 pays $300 to 98765; 12345 pays $260 to 99999; 12345 pays $300 to 56478; ...
.
12345 needs $15,000 in cash so he, Mr. Fullofterrors, collects to dollars into his bank account.
.
Can computer experts now connect Mr. Fullofterrors to all of the transactions on account 12345?
Even if they can, there is no way of knowing what was purchased unless they also know the real names of 98765, 99999, and 56478 unless they are de-anonymized.

from my Gemini account to my Coinbase account. Is there any way to avoid that? I don't think there will be many provider willing to start a session until the hold is cleared and I don't think there will be many hobbyist willing to send full session donation in advance.

I’m not too familiar with Gemini exchange, other than the owners have about 1% of the bitcoins.

Once you send a bitcoin, there is no turning back. If you make a mistake with the address, it’s pretty much lost.

The time it takes to reach is confirmation time only, it will still reach the address. The time to receive depends on how you send it

Your send receive history is also logged, another setback for anonymity.

opening an exchange account such as coinbase or bittrex does take some verification of ID.  But you do not need identification to download a bitcoin or crypto wallet to your phone.  Also, you can print the exact amount of the donation on to paper and take it with you like those Etickets to ball games or airline seats.  provider simply scans the barcode and gets a confirmation within seconds, for some cryptos anyways.  she can then shred the paper and thereafter have zero money transaction "evidence".

how does one get cryptos without having an exchange account?  there are many ways. there are even bitcoin atm machines where you insert dollars and it prints bitcoin value on paper.

a lot of you are getting mixed up having a trade account and having a virtual wallet or owning cryptos in general.  virtual wallets require ZERO ID.

If you still think there aren't advantages to using crypto currency in the hobby world, just forget it.
