Hello there ladies and gents!
I am planning an upcoming trip to Indy pretty soon and wanted to ask a few questions about the area!
I am pretty excited and anxious to visit, as I have never been to Indiana (well if you count a lay-over)


Is it better to stay downtown or near the airport?
Do you gents prefer to use TER, p411, eros?
Do you think its better to visit on the weekend or weekday?

Stay downtown. The airport is out of the way and there isn't much going on around there (unless that's what you're looking for). Downtown is busier and vibrant, but don't expect it to be like Chicago or something. Downtown traffic pretty much dies at 6 p.m. But if you stay downtown, you're pretty much within walking distance for any shopping and dining you may want.

Can't speak to weekend vs. weekday, but keep in mind the Colts still have a couple home games left this season. Downtown is much busier on home game weekends.

As for TER vs. 411 vs. Eros...I though p411 is safe. TER provides the best reviews. Just my opinion.

...and one that in no way helps me at all, but considers where the money is, is the north side along 465 between Carmel and Fishers. Lots of hotels and lots of business travelers.
