Has anyone ever heard of Viking Island/Viking Exotic resort. It's supposed to be "all inclusive" including the female companionship.

Sounded okay to me, but theoretically it could be a rip. I was wondering if anyone's ever been or knows anyone who has and how their experience was.

I'd appreciate any info.

I have been to several of these escort resorts including Viking (V), Charlis Angels (CA) and Oxygen Retreat (OR).  My last and only visit to V was September 2007.

V was my first foray into escort resorts.  I was there for only 2 nights, but I had a good time.  The girls are generally early twenties and are drop dead gorgeous.  At my visit, there were 12 girls with 6 of us guests.  At V they usually have Ukrainian girls, but on occassion have some Brazilian ones.

My overall impression of the resort itself is it is a beautiful piece of property right on the beach away from crowds.  It is just east of the town of Caberete on the north coast of Dominican Republic.  The rooms are nice, the staff are congenial and the girls are generally playful.  Not a bad place.

HOWEVER, my overall impression of the girls is they act as if they are God's gift to man (not so much the Brazilian girls).  It's like you're expected to take them off-premises for dining, spa, dancing or the casino.  You end up spending a lot more than you expected.  So bring your credit card or extra cash.  And that's fine if your cool with that arrangement.  As I said, they are drop dead gorgeous and you might like to be seen with one of them on your arm.  As for the sex it was OK.  From my experience and talking with the other guests the girls are usually only good for one intimate session per day.  Plus they usually don't do BBBJ.  You might want to check with the manager to get a handle on which girls will do what.

Check their website for more details.  They have a neat video made by Playboy that is interesting.  It's kind of bogus, but it brings back memories for me.  Now personally, I don't want to go back there.  The attitude and the extra money didn't sit well with me.  I've had a much better time for a lot less money at OR.  They're practically next door to V, but they have a different philosophy and only have Dominican girls.  I won't go into details but check the posting I did here on 5/28/09 as a response to a similar question.

Thanks. This is SUPER helpful. It's good to know what the real deal is. I think I MIGHT be able to deal with the extra dough, but for that much $$$ only once per day and CBJ doesn't seem right at all.

Again, check my post from 5/28/09 in regards to Oxygen Retreat.  I don't want to sound like a salesman for OR, but I've had a great time there for less money than the other places.  In fact, I'm heading back for my third visit very shortly.

I have been to Viking, Charlis Angels and Oxygen.

I don't completely agree with the review of Viking as I had a great time but I did see some girls there that had attitude. They are beautiful though.

Oxygen is another story. The latinas there are fun,happy to be with you and super sexy. I am going in Sept for my second visit. PM if you want more details

I have not been to Vikings but I have visited Oxygen and it was a great time for my wife and I.

I will say that Vikings has a cool website, but I like the Oxygen approach of no cash tipping and the system works really well.

I will visit again and again.

It was safe, clean, and you should look up the video in yourtube on oxygen resort.

The place is better than Hawaii.

I have not been to Vikings, but Oxygen Retreat is down the street and it is very real.

My wife and I visited for 4 days and we wish we could have stayed for two weeks.

It was totally safe, food was great and the ladies were hot.

I know this is an old thread but I would like to find something great like this again. I've been to several of these places too but not for several years. Oxygen was by far my favorite. I would like to find a good upscale one if there are any suggestions. I tried DR Nights last year but it's a little on the sleazy side for my taste, not an upscale experience by any means but nice looking girls and great attitudes. Has anyone tried Senses Private Club on the East Coast of the Dominican Republic? I heard it's upscale and run by a woman but I've not actually heard from anyone who has been.

I've been to Viking Resort back in 2008. It was ok, decent place but in a low end area on the North Coast of the DR. Nothing really much to do around there either as far as nightlife or extra activities. Girls were so so. I never went back and they were closed down several years ago in a raid. I guess the owner and others went to prison for a bit. I'm just glad that all happened after my trip. I recently got an email they were back in business but I noticed they have the same property as another adult resort Charli's Angels which I've never heard good things about. I'm not going to take any chances going back given they have had so many problems with the law. Don't need that! Any suggestions were it's safe and upscale?

I have been looking at doing an adult vacation in the Dominican Republic... but I Can't find any recent reviews.. anyone has had recent experience with Senses, Oxygen or Charlis Angels? maybe any other similar style retreat in Colombia, Costa Rica or any other place?

Oxygen is no longer in business although it was a great place which I enjoyed several times. I've been to Charlis as well and while the girls were ok (although a bit stuck up) the service is the worst. The place also did not look like the pictures and was more run down. They really did not care about your experience and they have no problem tacking on additional fees before you leave. It feels a bit like you're being hijacked to tell you the truth. I was very disappointed. They are also now saying they are partnered with Viking Resort.

As for the “real” Vikings Exotic Resort, they went out of business about 6 or 7 years ago due to a Interpol raid and the owners going to prison. You can find more online about this. I think there are some other posts on this board as well.

I got an email from Charlis recently saying they were now in partnership with Vikings as though that was going to fix all of their problems. They put up another website for Viking but are using old promo videos from many years ago which is pretty funny to watch because it’s nothing like what you get now. Trust me, you don't arrive by helicopter to a luxury villa with tennis courts on the ocean where your surrounded by all these girls interested in you...LOL That's showbiz and the red carpet they must layout for the camera. The reality; try a bouncy car ride down streets full of pot holes in a low end district with a not much to do if you leave the property and girls who would rather talk on the phone and speak in Russian and smoke cigs then speak to you. It's just another attempt to get customers to come back because they are probably going elsewhere now. If you notice VEG and Charlis websites, they have the same girls and are both obviously using the same villa. Sounds more like Charlis is trying to run another scam and capitalize on some old popularity of the old Viking. It doesn't matter which company you choose you are still going to be at the same place, same girls and same bad service.

As for Senses Private Club, I've not been yet but do have a trip planned in May. I can say I've had nothing but professional service and quick responses so far. I've heard good things about them and they do include all of their excursions and many extras which was important to me since I like to golf. They do seem like a much more upscale type of place with a bit different approach to things but we will see. They are also in Punta Cana which I've visited before and it's night and day different then where the others are at so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I'll keep you posted after my trip!1

I've actually been twice now to Senses Private Club, the last time was just last month and the first time was in May. Obviously the fact that I went back speaks for itself but I will say I have found what I was looking for. Very well run and feels like everyone really cares about the guests and enjoys what they do which made the experience really special for me. I will for sure go back.

drake78 - I am looking for a location for the first vacation of this sort for my wife and I ans Senses is on the top of our list.  I am curious with regards to what all is included in the posted rates.  Obviously they cannot advertise the services of the ladies to the full extent, but my wife is concerned about extras and tipping issues.  could you provide some idea what to expect with service and tipping?

jdaez97 - You don't need to worry about extras or tipping. Whether you choose to tip anyone has no effect on your experience. I think most guests do tip but it's got nothing to do with anything and is just a gesture of appreciation for outstanding service. When I left I gave well deserved tips to my guides and to some of the other staff but this was when I was leaving and not a requirement. Think of it like when you go to any first-class place and get exceptional service. I was more then happy to leave some tips but no one was telling me what I needed to tip. Hope that helps! I know this is an old thread but I am trying to decide on a place to visit now and had a question since there are very few reviews or even acknowledgement of the club online. I read on most of the other sites that the girls stay with you 24 hours a day and you can change them out each day if you like. However on Senses site it does not mention 24 hours at all, which has me curious if the girls there stay with you at night or do you sleep alone. Since you have been twice now you must really like the place so I think it might be worth a shot but just wanted to check on that before I made the jump. Especially since on their site they go out of their way to mention not to ask them any questions about what goes on, that did seem a little weird.
