It's crossed my mind that there may be a lady interested in going in her place. The trip is 6/11 to 7/3. Flight is San Diego to Paris. Then one week in Cannes. 3 nights in Florence Italy. A week of unscheduled time then back to Paris for 4 days.

I love Europe!  

Plus I'm quite familiar with restaurants and touristic/historic places )

If you want to break the trip up, and invite a variety of ladies, put me down for the 3 days in Florence or the last 4 days in Paris! I luv living life and having new adventures!

...you can't travel with a stranger for three weeks.  You have to spend some time with her before you go.  Hell, I'd get sick of my GF (and vice versa) if I had to spend three weeks straight with her, lol.

I have to agree.  I have done one week trips before, and to be honest, I'm not sure who wanted to die more.  A night with someone is one thing,  but three weeks is a complete different story. And yes, on top of that,  you are going to have to compensate the lady (which for 3 weeks...yikes...)

Wisdom!  I can identify with what you're saying because it doesn't seem that many of the ladies here are even considering the importance of chemistry, communication, and some occasional alone time for a long term engagement. It is quite clear who has been away on such excursions and who hasn't...because it is definitely something that hits you when the contact form becomes reality. Those are essentials.

Regarding the economics, ladies have to make the rent whether they are at home or on travel. Compensation for travel time is related to what economists term "opportunity cost."

Are you saying that you will pay their airfare or are you paying for hotel, airfare, dining, and any cost associated with activities? Or is she footing all of the costs to go to museums, dining, tourist stuff?

Pretty cheap LOL. No I was offering plane, rooms, and meals. I know it's a pipedream but it's a nice dream (that could turn into a nightmare! lol)

take the wife sympathy, you will be better off. or you and a friend go. im sure there are providers there. unless you can afford to pay her time while gone. if you have the money for that type trip then im sure you can afford to pay her to..   you opened a can of worms it appears,lol

First off the OP made it clear that this was his wife's idea for the trip. Then I was told that there would not be any sight seeing or "tourist traps" as the OP made clear.  
So ladies keep in mind, traveling all that way without being compensated or able to tour the sights and enjoy the cuisines there isn't much left.
As he stated he wants to stay low key, visit little towns and evidently not spend money on food or actually enjoying the company of each other in such a wonderful place.

The value of the trip?! Lmao!!! I can spoil myself, and have plenty of men take me on vacation and not only pay for everything, as they should, but for my time, as they should. Why would any girl go and not get paid for her time? I can stay in boring ass Cincinnati but work the 3 weeks and take my own ass to Europe...or I could go to Europe all expenses paid and lose out on 3 weeks income here...hmmm.

Please do stay in boring ass Cincinnati as you call it. Some people sure have an overinflated sense of their worth and the value of their time. Just because you didn't get a free trip. Sheesh.
