One hotel I wouldn't recommend it the Hotel Derek. It's a nice hotel, but you need a key to use the elevator, so gentlemen wouldn't be able to knock on your door.
Another option is to stay near City Centre which is at the intersection of the West Sam Houston Tollway and the Katy Freeway. It's in the Energy Corridor, and there are quite a few hotels and yummy restaurants to choose from.
But the elevator might be broken, so I'm not sure if my response is right, was my first time using Derek. I didn't use a key either to operate it. It stopped at every other floor.

Ugh. I am staying at the Hotel Derek. I guess one way to meet is to meet my date at the bar and go up together?
My Houston ATF ended up getting me my hotels in the galleria area so no more stressing on where to stay!!! The rodeo is in town sooo I was having a hard time finding hotels.... But have to try city centre ....
