While it happens every day that people are gone too soon...yesterday's passing of Steve Jobs is causing a lot of people to think a little more...hopefully.
When you consider his life and accomplishments....one thing comes to mind (at least for me). No amount of money, houses, yachts, or other trappings of wealth can ultimately change anything. The ability to buy almost anything....didn't change the fact that he only had 56 years worth of single days at at time.

Maybe it's my own cancer scare a couple years ago...but I try to make the most out of, and appreciate every day. Something more people should do, IMHO. I'm not always good at it....but I do try and, at the end of the day, that matters (at least what's what I tell myself...lol). I've been very fortunate in this thing of ours, to meet some truly amazing people. A few, I have no doubt, will be a part of my life in some way for the rest of my days.

I hope that everyone takes even a small moment to think about what they do have, and not what they don't, and let someone who is important to you....know that they are.

Well that's my limit of sugary sweet crap for the day....and....to keep this on topic for the board......go get laid! ;)

I had my own little scare a short time ago. It really puts things into perspective. I have met a lot of great people here and have had one hell of a lot of fun. I hope to continue to having fun for years to come. Thank you to all the ladies here who have added to this. Now.......let's play!!

I had a scare back in 2000 and it changed my life forever!  Now I live each day to the fullest and appreciate what most people don't even notice.  One thing I like to do is sit on the swing in my backyard, close my eyes and mind from the rest of the world and just listen to the leaves on the trees.  It is such a beautiful and peaceful sound.

And what I found is so important in life ... To keep my friends close, my family closer and God the closest!

...I do not think that Steve Jobs looked back , he always looked ahead . An incredible man with fantastic visions.

.. If you have a chance , go to " You Tube " and listen to his address to the graduating class of Stanford in 2005 , a great insight into the man !

How sad that the man who has influenced and changed my life with his innovative inventions passed away last night.:( Thank you Steve Jobs for being just absolutely amazing and touching us in so many ways.... and thank you DD for starting this post.

Hey DD, Since you opened you door.......

There's an ole adage that says "He/She with the most toyz win, folks that a lie from the pit of hell, toyz, don't matter, dresses, watches or suits don't matter, neither does the best Gabion dress (I'm sure I spelled that wrong since I don't care so it's probably spelled wrong)

I believe there are ONLY a few things in life that matter, your friends/family/relationships, your time and what you choose to do with it and your resources. Is it all about you or do you care for those around you?

Guess what, bad things happen to everyone, The rain falls on the "just" & un-just" the same, I heard it said that "how your life turns out is 10% what happened to you & 90% how you reacted to it",

I'm still undecided so the jury's still out considering my recent turn of events but it sure makes sense.

Here I go again gettin all philisophical and shit, somebody stop me......... J/K as Popeye say's "You R what U Are"

I guess this is all black and white in words but it has to go deeper than that. It's hard to tell many times what is real but for me I appreciate someone going out of character and being themselves. It reminds me that even those who I may not agree with most of the time are as real as me with true feelings.

Although money can buy better health care when it's your time to go one must accept it. Steve knew, as his actions showed and hope he did everything possible to spend those last days with people who love him. What a great man and i'm sure he is living in the hearts of so many people. We live on in the hearts and minds of all who loved and miss us.

I lost someone very special to me this year to breast cancer. It was a hard 2 year battle for her and I wore my heart on my sleeve trying to be strong while she said god had a plan for her. Faith and being a strong person made her days easier for her while myself I did not find such comfort.  I hope when it's my time i'm better prepared...
