A very popular lady here in Florida has this cancellation policy:

"Cancellation Policy:

Sometimes life (car accidents, sickness, family emergencies, urgent business commitments)  gets in the way of the best intentions. If you must cancel within 24 hours of our date for any reason then I require 50% of the donation in compensation. If you are a no call no show then 100% of the donation is required. Compensation can be made by check, money order or prepaid VISA card made out to ************************ and mailed to ******************** .

My reputation is very important to me and I hope yours is important to you. Non compliance to this policy will have a very tarnishing effect. "


I have two questions:

1. If the lady cancels, does she offer compensation?  Anyone who has done this long enough has been cancelled on. I have lost $ in hotels, viagra, champagne, etc.   I figure it is part of the game.

2. Is this a threat?  It sure looks so.

I did not call this lady out by name becasue I am not trying to start an argument, but I would like the thoughs of guys and ladies.

What happens if a family emergency prevents one from attending the M&G and one does not compensate her? Does she "out" you/black list you?

I understand a ladies time is valuable...but what about my time.  All too often we hear about a lady doing a NCNS on a guy.....so if that gentleman decides to try and schedule with that lady again....should he be entitled to a 50% discount for his time from the earlier NCNS, or even better, a last minute cancellation.

I have heard WAYYYYYYYY too many times that a lady will cancel on a guy if she simply gets a multi hour appt, compared to a single hour....does that mean that the guy who scheduled the hour shouldnt be compensated for the time he is out.

Bottom line is SHIT HAPPENS FOLKS.....On both sides......I have had to cancel several times last minute due to crap coming up I didnt anticipate......OH WELL.....and in turn, I have been canceled on last minute with a lame ass excuse....did I bitch....NO!!!!!   Simply GET OVER YOURSELF!!!!!

Ladies, most of the gentleman will respect your time.....but fewer of you respect the gents time....it is what it is...but to put something like this on your web site, you may has well say adios to some people who may have contacted you.

This of course is my opinion....and if you dont like it....tough shit. LOL

I know who this lady is....I've never seen her...but, just happened to read her web site recently based on positive conversations about her with another hobbyist.  When I got to that the section you're referring to....I literally laughed my ass off..like...wtf....is she serious?  I've had gals cancel on me last minute a number of times, and had to do the same a few times myself.....it's an occupational hazard.  But, I also got a much bigger kick outta her "rules" of behavior page....thought I was reading the 10 commandments....go to number 5 about blemishes, etc...and if ya cut yourself shaving (the FACE not the GD "other area"...lol), then look at number 9 about review ratings (this one's a killer....if ya give her less than an 8, she wants the reviewer to discuss it with her BEFORE sending it in).  Why not just have her write it herself?  
Even though she's apparently highly regarded by many.....based on her web site....I decided to take a pass on her and stick with ladies that DON'T remind me of my wife!  Good luck Lady X, I'm sure you're a wonderful lady and fantastic Provider, but whoever created your web site disclosures.....SHIT....I thought I told my wife ta STOP ghost writing for escorts.....lol!

What you did, pure and simple, was walk people through how to find out who this lady is in about thirty seconds.
I know how to do it...which is how I found out.
Not everyone does know how to do it....and again....who it is makes NO difference.

So you get points for saying it was a "joke" for damage control since no one can see your original post. You and I both know exactly what it said.

I'm sure you can just copy and paste your post for every idiot who will PM you to "find out who it is". The gossipy asshats who won't participate in things on the board....but feel they have to "know" everything that's going on.

What you did do is try to direct as many people as possible to who the lady is....as fast as possible.

I made it VERY clear that this thread was about the concept and practice of such statements...and NOT the person who makes them.
Apparently you chose not to offer thoughts on the topic at hand...but to try to throw another provider under the proverbial bus.

One hopes there's a thread of understanding between us and that our good names stand for something but for those who have no good name just  work info and a few ladies he has seen a word of comment let's them know our time is valuable. Remember our websites are viewed by just about anyone who feels the urge and requests for dates is about the same. Not all men are experienced and seasoned. Since I am not popular I never have a problem losing one date because another has cancelled but cancellations and no shows happen to me.

cancellation policies really do not come into play here, simply because there is no way for compensation for BOTH parties and it is undoable. I go through this all the time it is the way it is in this profession. how many times did I book the same person who cancels due to the death of a grandmother or another member of their family, only to have the same person rebook a few months later and then pull the SAME excuse. What I simply say is you told me this last time and pray that you are telling the truth because one day it might ACTALLY happen. That is the only way you can handle such uncourteous behaviour for both ends. Unfortunately for us this type of forum is for annonimity, and you will not be able to collect, so do not expect it move on.

A lot of providers have a deposits policy (myself included) but to make someone pay the entire donation is ridiculous.

You should ask the lady these questions instead of posting them up for us. WE can not answer those questions for you.

...I've had the opportunity to meet the lady whose website is quoted here, and she's as professional a lady as there is out there.  Basically, I believe that if you operate within reasonable hobby parameters, neither your "hard-earned cash" nor your reputation will not be at risk.

I agree that these types of "clauses" are tilted greatly against the hobbyist, especially those whose schedule is subject to change rather abruptly.  I would simply suggest that, in your early correspondence, you outline your potential challenges, and ascertain whether her (or any other lady you contact) is willing to work with you.

If you're wasting their time, they'll know it pretty quickly, which is what these types of clauses are intended to deal with.

While I obviously can't speak for her (or any other lady), I truly believe that  solid communication from the beginning will obviate the need for "enforcement".

With that said, I agree that it's unfortunate to see this kind of language on a lady's website.  It's the result of policy-making that is intended to enforce to the lowest common denominator.  In other words, it's designed for the disrespectful time-waster that has no regard for a lady's time.

Be respectful in every way---with every woman---and the likelihood of a problem is minimized...

Where to begin? I had no idea that asking for good manners was such an offense.

Many service establishments have cancellation policies. My nail salon, hairdresser, hotels and doctor all have similar policies in place.  If I cannot give 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment then there is a charge ranging from 50% to 100% of the fee. I don’t feel that a Hilton hotel is being loony or high risk or that my doctor’s office thinks their do-do doesn’t stink.  

My business is based on my reputation alone. Shouldn’t you also be granted a reputation that follows you? If you are a time-waster you can bet that the ladies who are giving you references will want to know that. We have screening resources that allow us to post reviews on your performance as a gentleman. Isn’t that only fair that we use them? You are certainly encouraged to post on our performance as a lady. When I give a reference I most certainly will let the other provider know if you were a NSNC.

I liked Haya1300’s post. Plus, he had enough balls to use his real handle.  I am happy to agree to a similar cancellation policy from a gentleman. If I cancel within 24 hours of our date I am happy to see you next time at half the fee. If I NCNS then I owe you a free date.  That seems fair enough to me. If I am too sick to make it to the date it is certainly worth making up to you to save the relationship. “...but to put something like this on your web site, you may has well say adios to some people who may have contacted you.” That is the point. I do not want people who don’t plan on showing up for the date to contact me. I want only contacts from guys who really take our time together seriously. If it is important to you to make the date then the thought of gifting me 50% if you cancel should not even be an issue.

In fairness I can be flexible. I’ve had an interested gentleman say to me. “I’d really like to make a date for Wednesday at 3pm but I may get into work Wednesday morning and find out I have to XYZ. Due to your cancellation policy I am reluctant to make the date.” In this case I am happy to “pencil him in” with a note that we will confirm by 11am or whatever we have agreed on. This way I also have the flexibility to cancel if my day fills up.

I don’t want every boner with an internet connection to contact me. I want to discourage all of you who think that it is OK to no-show once in a while without compensation. I do several things in my marketing and website to discourage the general public from contacting me. I reserve my time for the special few who know that there is a reward for jumping through a few hoops to get to me.  The way I run my business is my choice. It works for me and is really none of the business of those of you who have never met me.

Even if you just cut yourself shaving or have a pimple, if it looks like a sore it is a no-no.

Sorry, but my oral health is important to me. I’ve had several instances where guys have shown up with a big sore on their lip and have told me that they cut their self shaving. Although that may be true, I am not willing to take the risk. Heck, some girls won’t kiss you no matter what and others will kiss just about anything. We all have a right to set our own boundaries and to stick by them.

I do want each and every experience to be delightful. If you are not satisfied with your experience I do want to know! You are still free to put anything you want in the review. You can see over my list of reviews I have occasionally gotten a 7. You can ask these fellows if they suffered any ill consequences for their score. The answer is NO! I am not going to retaliate for a less than perfect review. I just simply requested a note that could give me the insight to being the best hostess I can be.

You are right, you did not need to post anything. I have always had the utmost respect and thoughts of you in the highest of regards.  This posting just reiterated my thoughts and feelings of you to the highest of highs!!!

I just really don't think most of the people get it.  I just do believe "if you don't see something you like on a ladies site then please just move on".  Sometimes it really is best and allows for feelings, drama to not get all stirred up.

Again...you are a classy lady and those that chose (especially the other ladies) to not  support you...well..I won't make any comments on that.

You are absolutly right, your situation is very different and I back you totally stick with your principles and very classy move on your part to explain the whole situation. That in itself shows why ceratain providers who actually run thier business the right way should be respected. As for my reply on cancellation policies I myself experienced it on other ends and If you can collect for a no-show or cancellation before you have the time to replace that lost income......remember gents this is our livlihoods then good for you . I do think there should be some recourse for all parties that RESPECT the biz. I back you 100%
