END OF MESSAGE

Hi there. You know that I always like to share good news with my friends and I had to share this.
The end of this month I will be in Shanghai China for a trade show. I am very excited. I've never been to China before. If anyone has any advice for me then you can email me at [email protected].

Heather,

Shanghai is an absolutely exciting city in China.  Very much like New York City, but in China. The downtown buildings are magnificent, and I think they have more KFC's there than we do!!  Unfortunately, cities like Shanghai and Beijing are the cities that China would like the world to believe is what China represents.  To get the real feel for the Country and it's many provinces, you have to find a private guide who can take you on a real world type of tour, and you will need more time than a few days to experience that.  With all that said, you are going to find a fantastic nightlife, great food, great shopping (if you know where to look), and an experience worth telling us all about when you return.

I'm in the Tampa area and would love to see your pictures when you return.

Good luck and enjoy!
Alex

Use the facial masks to filter air, not....uhhh, you know what I mean.

Now don't get me wrong...you have ALWAYS been a huge success, but your new adventure is just simply brilliant!

Good Luck, I am SO PROUD of you! Safe travels!

XOXO,
Sindie

Congratulations Heather,
Can you tell us what the trade show is about?

So curious....!

Yes, the trade show is a home textile show. My linen business has really taken off and I want to expand my product line. I also want to look into learning how to deal with the factories in person as my US supplier is unreliable at times. The sheets that I sell are out of this world but I want to have some modern top of the line accessories to go with them. I also want to find some beautiful silk robes and sleep-wear to expand with. I have developed a very loyal customer base. I have the same clients coming back time and time again. I need to have new and interesting items to keep them coming back.

I thank all of the folks who have been writing to me about the where to gos and what to sees in Shanghai. But, what I really need are hints about how to deal with the business side of the textile industry. How to meet the right people and not get taken advantage of. How to handle quality control. Things like that.
