there was a recent survey (will have to find the link) of porn stars and how they got involved in the industry, and I believe the percentage was 70-75% of pornstars started at a strip club and worked their way up the ladder to porn movies. Some just were discovered and went directly into porn, some had made homemade videos and than became famous "wifey and Ms Rio for example".

So to answer your question, stripping transitions into escorting.

Do you think most women who escort started working as strippers, or do some women decide to strip (and then transition to escorting) while others just choose to escort?

but I did recently see an escort who started out as a stripper (and still is one), and she had the most incredible toned hot sexy body, obviously keeping in such great shape from all that dancing!

it did not turn out well. I've known her for 3+ years and many dances in the Friction Room, but she was an obvious rookie in the bedroom and I left her place her cupless and $200 lighter.

I've never been a stripper or would I ever entertain the idea.  The nice thing about escorting is that as long as you don't show your face, you can be anonymous to loved ones.  I got into the business because of the economy, I am certainly qualified to work in the real world, but after doing this for 1.5 years, I've realized how much I belong here.  I also think that having a real education helps in every aspect of what I do.

I will get blasted but what I have seen and talked to Dancers think escorts are nothing but "whores "I know bad word but that is what they say, and they believe they are a step above.  I have yet to meet a dancer that went on to be an escort I have met some that went on to be the "whores " that they thought they were better than.

What is interesting is that for years I have asked strippers if they escorted in some form or another and probably 1/3 have said they have escorted or tried the field at one point or another.

I sometimes see advertisements for escorts that have pictures of ladies who I know are dancing at local clubs and when the face isnt blurred I suggest to them that the face be blurred. The reason is simple-most club owners dont want to be perceived as allowing their dancers to escort. Some clubs will fire the dancers if it is found out and have policies against it.

On the other hand I could have probably saved a Sequoia had I never given a dancer my card in hopes she might decide to escort with me hahahaha

Im have never stripped in my life. I have stage fright. One on One is good but getting up in front of a crowd is impossible even when drinking lol.
I have firends that strip and I enjoy going to strip clubs but not getting on stage.

tendencies, so it follows that they started off stripping.  I don't believe that's necessarily as true for all escorts, many of whom prefer one-on-one deals with clients they can screen (to some extent), as opposed to getting up on a stage in front of whoever happened to stop in.  Thay said, I have seen more than one escort who had been a stripper, and one night a long time ago I actually got a stripper to stop by my hotel room after her shift ended, so I know the 2 activities are related.

Most high end escorts will tell you they are above stripping and would never do it.  Escorting affords you as much privacy as you want.  You don't HAVE to been seen in public with someone and your ads can have faces blurred out.  The biggest advantage is that once you retire, websites are taken down and "poof" you are gone.  Stripping does bring you into the public eye, whether you want to be or not.  Nothing against stripping (hell, I've done it), but I find it hard to believe that some of the beautiful escorts I know would ever dance for dollars.

Many strippers do escort.  I happened to be with my uncle Sly last week innocently having lunch at a strip club and I got the phone numbers of both the girls who were sitting with us and both were open to spending the day/night with me.   I have always had girls at the clubs offer.  I would say 50-75% of the strippers I have asked have said (and meant) yes.

Stripping is "fantasy land"...It's really more look and use your imagination, but don't touch. Strippers make their money being a tease and are better liars than actresses, for the most part. Because of the fact they lie alot, guys are harder customers and are disrespectful now more than ever. When the guy's been taken for his hard-earned money, he either doesn't go back or when he does return, he has a defensive attitude.

Making money stripping isn't as easy as it used to be.

I started dancing in 1996, before lap dances. I started because I really needed the money and didn't want to work a full-time job. A stripper will more likely leave the club with someone she's attracted to or who shows her wads of cash. The strip club scene has really changed and that's when I started looking into other alternatives...

I found out about ter over 2 years ago. I signed up but didn't advertise or participate really until I got my first review. I read the board, but made few comments...the whole industry/lifestyle was overwhelming. And I was going to take it slow because I couldn't risk getting caught, by loved ones or ...

Now that I've been in both worlds, I can tell you...they are two different aspects of the many in the adult industry. There are similarities, but I believe it's coincidental.

There really is no comparison...Unless you book your own private show (make sure you have a pole ready!!!)

And of all the escorts I know, only 2 have been dancers first.

Out of all the dancers I know, none have been escorts (but a few looked for work after..) and some got into relationships with customers (not the norm). The ones that got into relationships with their customers (2 ladies come to mind), they ended up breaking the guy's marriage up (both guys were married with children) and then marrying him and quit dancing. I didn't think that was cool. I hope to never be the cause of something like that.

One of the guys I saw years later, divorced for the second time and dating one of the dancers I was working with...I guess some never learn.

I can't decide which I like better, so I continue to do both. I dance when I want to and I escort more often than I dance at a club...but for me, dancing is a fun way to stay in shape, so I'm dancing all the time.

As for anonymity, if you dance outside of your neighborhood, it's doubtful anyone would find out. I think one is safer being a dancer as opposed to an escort posting pictures and ads on the internet. The internet though, that's forever...even when the website's gone, there are archives and people that collect pictures...so to think no one will find out is a fantasy.

I have been doing stripteases from a long long time ago, all private and personal.  I danced in 2 strip clubs one night just for fun and I can work the pole quite good too.  
When I decided to be an escort I incorporated my dance in most of my dates. is a great way to break the ice and the tease can be very poserfull.

I will ask my date not to touch so I can really tease all your senses but in most cases they breake teh rule but with no risk to being escorted outside "the club". lol.
