I've often thought about what caused most of us to begin in this hobby in the first place....for myself, it was started by a buddy who had tried it, and I didnt believe him that you could just call these ladies up and they would come over....boy was I wrong....

Beyond that, with my travel schedule with work, it makes any sort of normal relationship possible (if there is such a thing) and everyone has their needs, so here I am......even though I've laid off the hobbying for a while now, I still look around to see if someone catches my attention...but unfortunately, with the markets I travel to, not many do...and those who do, our schedules simply dont mesh up..

So what was your reason?

have fun with.  As a recently single guy, I had no ties and didn't really want to be in a relationship.  

Tough to beat the opportunity to see so many different types of beautiful and sexy ladies.  And, now that I am in Florida, a whole new opportunity with a bevy of beautiful women.

Been travelling the world for my career for going on about 25 years I guess.
I simply could not find the time or even think it fair to be " dating " a girl . I guess I am one of those guys who sacrificed a carreer over family life . Don't get me wrong , I am happy as hell with my life !

Second would be that I am extremely shy around a woman I am attracted to . Attracted = physically AND MENTALLY . I just have no game I guess. I crumble into a hot liquid mess , but trying to get better . I still actually laugh at myself as I am even shy when I am paying for it !!!

I stumbled onto this site just a year or so ago . I too thought this is TGTBT but I was wrong
Now whenever I am town ( Ft Lauderdale ) I have a few I can call and just have some fantasies fufilled before I exit this life  .

I am indeed lucky about the fine selection here in south Florida - we have the FINEST w/o doubt !!!

What motivated me to begin hobbying? Knowing that I could "buy" sex from gorgeous women without the headaches at a massive discount considering what I would have had to pay a fortune to date and marry such women in real life.

I did not have the inclination to try the dating scene, besides the fact I have never been very good at picking up strange ladies just to get laid once in a while.  This wonderful hobby of ours has provided me with some wonderful experiences, and some good friends, both male and female.  The sheer variety of ladies available is outstanding here in Florida, my only regrets are not enough time and, of course, not enough money, so I'll do what I can, and enjoy the hell out of it.

Since I'm retired, my time is flexible and I can see ladies at any time i want.  And, I have a sufficient amount of retirement income to indulge my hobbying, just not as often as I would really like.

all the round holes that interested me, the rest just seemed to work itself out.  I'm on the road 50% of the time and hobbying sure beats the hell out of watching Seinfeld reruns on TBS in the hotel room (not that there's anything wrong with that). Once I had some cash, it was a no brainer.

... I most started providing for the fun of it. I was living out in San Franciso at the time and had just gotten out of a serious relationship and graduate school. I had a great job but was having too much fun playing in the clubs, doing drugs and living life to the fullest. My sexuality was coming into full bloom and I found myself entertaining many one night stands. I didn't mind the one night stands but I couldn't stand the lack of respect from the men I shared my body with. A couple I was dating suggested I look into escorting. I had to admit that I had always been fascinated by the idea and had even flirted with the idea in my young twenties after meeting an elderly jewish mafia member from Vegas so decided to see what it was all about. I followed the lead provided by my couple friends and found myself hired at a downtown Nob Hill brothel. I couldn't stand the place and didn't last one night but did last long enough to meet a woman of experience who introduced me to the concept of "full service" and "outcall". We slipped out and she took me to a preferrred client in Marin later that same night. An hour later on our way home she dropped 4 crisp brand new benjies in my lap and a rush ran through my veins. a way to satisfy my thirst.  Yes, the variety of beautiful women is great but it is nice to feel appreciated (thanks to the bengies) too.  Yes, I know it is a fantasy but as long as the equipment works, I plan on using it.

So I left the house, went to the grocery store, got something to eat, then came back home!

After being a virgin, marrying a virgin, and not even kissing another woman for over 30 years. Then one day...everything stops. No hugs, kisses....or anything else (BBBJ's stopped years ago).  After waiting 2 years -- yes....TWO FRICKIN' YEARS.....I stumbled into this hobby.  

Now, I keep looking, hoping to replace that which I'll never replace.

I was on a business trip, and as I was keying into my my room, I heard the sounds of passion from the room across the hall.  My initial impression was that someone was hitting the porn early, but I had the feeling seconds later that some lucky bastard was actually getting laid.  After I entered my room, took care of hooking up my PC, hung up my clothes for the next day, and ordered room service, I heard an exchange across the hall as she left: "Nice meeting you (her), and "Thanks for coming." (him).  After a few seconds, it dawned upon me that the dude across the hall had an escort visit him, and here I was getting all hard up about going to the strip club up the street later that night.  While I still did that, I googled "escorts" while waiting for dinner, and discovered TER.  It was time to move on.

Over the next three weeks, I did what what newbies are supposed to do.  I joined TER as a VIP, did my research, and picked out and contacted a lady in Philly.  And she responded...the night I returned home from that business trip.  Frustrated as hell, I checked out my home NYC board, and saw an ad from a visitor from South Florida who I had made note of from then recent postings,  Her name was Sexy Toni, and I e-mailed her that night out of the blue.  Next day, I had a response, and we met two days later.  This was nearly eight years ago, back in Spring 2004.   We've been friends ever since...

After the one night with the brothel I went to work for an agency. Keep in mind this was pre-internet so agencies were the way to go and yellow book pages were the way the guys found us. Independents were advertising in the personals pages. I was intoxicated by the lifestyle and let them. I met people I never thought possible and I couldn't get enough of it. I loved the money but I loved the men too. Everyone knew me. I was the "it" girl! And that's how life went for a while....

NSA attached sex but there still has to be an attraction beyond wham bam thank you. I have had some FWB relationships with ex GF's or ladies I've become good friends but who aren't interested or are too busy for something full time. I respect hobbyist much more than serial lotharios who take advantage of women sexually or otherwise and then are unwilling to invest themselves emotionally orby spending quality time with them .
