I have receive a couple unsolicited emails from a Christine Paladine.  She provides an introduction that she is new in town and a link to her website.  Is this a common practice to send out emails (not sure where she got my email from)?

Anyone know if she is legit - this just seemed odd - any comments would be great

I'dd ber pretty spooked if it did.  Where she got your email address is a great question.  I don't think I'd resppond to this tactic' in any case.  It could be an LE set-up or maybe someone has been careless with your emial address (maybe even you, without realizing it!  That's a bit disconcerting, too.  My two cents is ignore these solicitations and even block them from your mail box if you can.

... "cold calling" business.  I find that incredibly tacky and a huge invasion of privacy.  I have heard of girls who get low on cash to call or email a past client and hit him up for an appt. and I find that ridiculous as well!

If this email is not from LE, it is a girl who obviously is desperate.  I would NOT respond because it may also be someone trying to get your IP addy when you do.

So contacting an ongoing client is "ridiculous?" I guess you never get emails from Amazon, Ebay, your local bank, car dealership or other businesses alerting you to a special, a promotion or simply cementing the relationship with a "here's what's new" email?

Man, your email must be pretty empty. And your expectations of the provider business must be pretty skewed. We have every right to contact clients through the proper channels-- and if someone gets too pushy, she'll see the fallout personally. So I don't think you need to warn every man on this Board against us dastardly providers who have the temerity to stay in touch!

First, unsolicited email to a hobbyist you've never met isn't the same thing as getting email from a business that you are already a customer of.  Secondly (and this CAN'T be unapreciated by someone like you), discretion and anonimity are critical in this business so she shouldn't have done it at all.  Nobody likes the idea of having their email address "out there" in connection with an illegal activity.  i would think this would be obvious on it's face!

No, not withOUT my permission.  It is OK if a client says it is, but how dare someone cold call a guy asking HIM for an appt.  Alerting of a "special" via email IF he has said it is OK to email him is fine.

You certainly have a negative attitude towards me missy!  By the way, my email box is ALWAYS full and it is because I dont have to chase guys for appointments, they come to me!  

Next time a guys wife contacts you because she saw your email or was with him when you cold called him, why don't you post about how you explained yourself and how you felt breaking up his marriage?????????

I don't know what you are refering to being illegal. Escorting is definately a legal business.

If a guy is stupid enough to use the email his wife sees, then he has bigger problems than an escort emailing him. BTW- I never said it was OK to coldcall-- I was talking about ongoing relationships. Why not read my post carefully before  flaming me?
