Let's say you have always been independent, but agree to allow a service in Jacksonville, Florida represent you. This agency has clients who leave positive reviews on her business and employees/friends, as she dictates, in exchange for a reduced rate.
You confide in the agency owner that you have a boyfriend, and add that you prefer no reviews because your boyfriend has suggested that you retire from the hobby.
The agency owner gets upset with you, and has one of these men (you've not met) leave a review on you - and even goes to the length of mentioning your boyfriend throughout said review.  
The behavior of leaving such a review is unbalanced at best, I agree. Reprisal is never the mature thing. And I've had many write to me with suggestions. But how would you handle this

Why on earth would you even tell them your personal business regarding your SO?

If you are contemplating retirement why get upset over a review?  

It's the fact that it occurred, regardless of whether or not I will retire.  
I did ask around, and learned the service in question has a propensity to do very vindictive things.  
Example: A client who I've known since I began, called me 2 days after the review appeared. He knows that service quite well and his words were, "I'll bet you got yourself mixed up with that service, didn't you? I saw the review. He's reviewed her girls favorably in the past and when they go independent, they remove her website from their profiles...here, I can show you." And we spent some time chatting about it.  
Since I know him well, and he's brilliant, I trust his input. He told me of a provider about 2 years ago went to him in tears because the owner demanded $200 to remove her profile from the website when she wanted to quit. She went through absolute hell after working there about 6 months. He added that the owner "accused of seeing girls on the side" (his words) and that she stopped his access to her website as a result. Since then, he's actively seeing ladies via Preferred411 and Date-Check. But he told me much about the agency, its humble beginnings and business split, and so on.  
That explained, it is not that I am retiring. It is because it happened at all - not the mature thing. And, who knows? Maybe I won't retire. I might meet some pretty amazing guys and decide to keep on. I do love what I do, after all..

I agree. I asked a friend of mine, who is a famous fitness model and companion who resides in LA. She suggested exactly the same thing.  
However, I don't feel sending a letter will do much good. They won't care.  
I will definitely alert the ladies so that this does not happen to them.  
My thought is...if they do this to me after only having spoken with my via phone for a very short time, what would they do to a client? She supposedly screens the clients extremely well. That said, she likely has clients' private, personal information and could most certainly cause a person harm.

Ok all of that sounds good but one thing that I noticed when I read the review was that there was no mention of an angency and how would your friend know about the agency if wasn't mentioned.  

This is why u stay independent. more people involved always leads to more bs n drama you have no control over. As for the bf. well you got to be honest and up front. That way if he finds out it isn't a big shock.
