I'm planing a romantic getaway weekend with my SO, and would be interested in your input.  We both like historical places, but modern is fine too!  Not looking to spend a huge fortune, just looking for a memorable, romantic, sexy hotel/city.

Thoughts?

...those are two of my favorites in South Florida. The Boca Resort is nice as well. If you venture down to the Keys, The Cheeca Lodge is fabulous. It's September so a lot of the hotels are offering special rates and its a nice and quiet time of year.

Hope you enjoy your getaway and keep us posted.

Always Sexy~

Great spot, but also the Ritz on the beach in Naples is great, Tiki bar and restaurant are super.

I went to Key West for the first time this weekend and I would agree, it not only is romantic but also a lot of adventure. But if you are looking for something romantic there is this very nice wine bar.

I am a big fan of the special packages at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa in Safety Harbor Fl.  They offer packages that include spa services, dinner, breakfast and unlimited drink of the day. It's pretty reasonable too at $179 a couple. Plus the hotel itself is full of history. They have rooms throughout the hotel that are preserved from back in the 30's and welcome exploring the hotel.  It has great mineral water pools both indoor and out as well as bay facing balconies that are great to sit on to watch the sail boats.  There's an interesting little community just outside the door with lots of shops, bars and restaurants to wander in hand in hand.  It's my fav romantic getaway spot without breaking the bank.

Most rooms do not have television, they have a good on site restaurant and it's a spa.
Not for everybody but definitely romantic for the right people.

Set on a private island, in Coconut Grove, rooms right by the water. Very exclusive.
For more romance, Fisher Island also boasts a beautiful locale but you must ride (w/car) on the ferry. Also, do a beautiful drive to the Deering Estate for a live symphony orchestra...she will say YES.
