OK, I did a bunch of searching on the site looking for my answer before I asked, so here goes.

I've seen ads in CL looking for a driver for a particular provider every now and then.  My question is two-part, A. why would a provider want a driver and, B. what exactly is expected of a driver?

I'm interested in doing this as a side job since I'm very flexible with my schedule, but I have no idea what would be expected, or even what the etiquette is.

I'm basing this reply on the one provider I have seen which did have a driver with her:

First of all, obviously he physically drove her to my place. Next he waited outside the door (I didn't even know he was there at first) as she asked me for the donation right when I walked in to make sure I was good for it. She then opened the door again and told him everything was fine so he could go down and wait in the car.

Just a disclaimer though .. this happened during my worst experience with a provider yet. She was not reviewed, I found her on eros-guide and it turned out to be a bait and switch (she was still hot but was a completely different person than the one in the picture). But anyway, that's all I know about the drivers role from that one limited experience.

It's tough when you're getting ripped off and you know there's some big no-neck guy waiting in the parking lot to help her out when you start to complain....

Most of my outcall ladies have taken a cab or driven themselves. It's easy now with MapQuest, and any major hotel is not too hard to find.

For our wannabe driver, you might have to back up your provider friend, which can get dicey, and you'll probably be up way past your bedtime...LOL

As with most questions, there is no absolute answer. A provider could want a driver for any number of reasons...and what is expected could vary GREATLY.

I did it for a short while back in the 80's for a friend.
What a driver 'should' be for is transportation and protection only. There is no interaction, no thinking she'll get attached to you because you are a 'protector', no handing over money at the door (sheesh), and no intrusion on the driver's part.
There should be security protocals set up. She calls when shes there with a set phrase that seems normal. ANY deviation from the exact words...and something is wrong. She should call again immediately after leaving. Same thing. Exact set phrase, or something is wrong.

If the driver is supposed to be a protector as well....that's an ENTIRELY different scene with MANY variables. Moreso than you can imagine.
If something is wrong, the driver has to know what to do. How to get into that room. How to assess the situation quickly. How to react with intellect and not emotion. Have a knowledge of hand to hand combat. Where weapons can be hidden (boot knives, belt buckle knives, razor blade in the shoe tip) and more than could ever be listed here. Also needed is knowledge of basic first aid if necessary.

It is MUCH more difficult, if done right, than being a cop. Cops have backup. Cops have permission to use their guns. Cops can ask for a key at the front desk and get it easily. Cops might intimidate a normal, non-drugged individual...the driver won't.

Quite simply..if it's just drive the car and hope she comes out...that's one thing. If the job is to protect her, well that's something any individual would have to think LONG and HARD about getting into. It's not just the 'glamour' of driving around a hot escort. It's having her safety and life in your hands...all while engaged in illegal activity.
You have to know what to do, do it without hesitation, and get the hell out without leaving a trace...all at a fast pace. You have to think about what you might have to do to a person someday (obviously you hope that day never comes) and KNOW that you have it in you to do what it takes.

It's no walk in the park.

that's kinda what I was thinking is that she was possibly looking for protection, in which case I wouldn't WANT to do it, but I would with a small aluminum baseball bat I keep under the seat of my truck.

As far as just driving her around, maybe she is looking for someone to be there just in case, who knows, maybe I'll actually reply to an ad and see where it takes me.

thanks for the responses

There are many situations where girls are looking for drivers. But the girls have done their home work and know the calaber of person they are seeing and don't want a protector. A driver  should drop you off and never be noticed.Than as your appointments finished and you have left the room you call for him to be back. Most drivers park close by but not in the parking lot that your visiting.
As wilco said.......etc etc etc. Before I bought my new car a few years back I had a driver. The price for me was depending on the hours of the appointment. But lots of girls want to take someone they already know. We all get lots of phone calls  from men who want to drive .One has to be careful on this.Theres lots of situations out there.I think posting the boards for this is a good thing. Might make those girls looking for drivers more comforable .

Everyone makes a valid point, However do not forget if the provider that you are driving around walks into a sting and gets busted you can get in trouble as well.
They just assume you are her pimp and that carries a pretty hefty charge. She may just get a ticket for soliciting but you "may" go to jail.

It's Not really worth it.

Just a Ladies .02 worth
