Cute but corny DD (by the way anyone with the words Dirty in their name isn't quite someone I would take most of my advice from). I did the research but I also see who appears to be the popular kids in school, the nerds, the dumb jocks, then there's you...the class ass in the corner with the DUNCE cap on. .... It honestly looks like a ploy to sneak a theme/ad thread in on a day when they've been banned.

I also agree that newbies should shop around and across various sites to get a feel for basic protocol in the community. It always makes me wonder why some guys are too lazy to go looking around on their own for the type of company they would like to spend their time with.

With regard to replying to generic ISO posts by newbies or fleeting members I have to say I find them a wee bit insulting to providers as a group. It's like they want the ladies to fall all over themselves competing to make themselves the number 1 choice. I can't say I haven't replied to ISO ads because I do when someone is planning on being in my area HOWEVER I do so via private PM in order to avoid the competitive nature these types of threads promote. Let's just say I try to put a bit of class back into the potential rendezvous by keeping things private and intimate. ; )

On a side note I'm not trying to pick a fight with girls who post publicly. I think it's really easy to get sucked in by these kinds of posts especially when there isn't much quality board conversation currently happening.

I guess the guys don't care because that leaves those who attack with their "claim" on this "turf", but it gets pretty damn boring when the only posts are ISOs and people who respond to them with an ad or respond with an attack. Chasing away potential posters just doesn't seem germane to promoting more conversation. If I were new here and saw how some people are attacked for posting what some might think is a little redundant, I would just not post. Why risk an attack?

Which leaves this place dull and lifeless except for the occasional drama thread or photo thread. Yawn.

But maybe that's how some prefer it. I guess it takes a lot less time to check in when you can glance at the page and not have to click on any posts because they are all the same old same old. lol.

But what about this: Maybe the poster of the "stupid" question was just trying to say hello in a manner he believes is befitting of a review board. Maybe he truly doesn't give a crap who is available, but feels that he should post a useful thread, such as an ISO, rather than just posting a "Hey! How are you, Florida?" post.

I just think we treat our guests badly here. You wouldn't yell at someone when they walk into your house and do something you don't like- you would *politely* explain that you prefer no shoes are worn on the carpet or whatever.

ANSWER: I said "here's how I know" and went into the story a little, trying not to out what was said on the RO board, but realizing you had jumped onto the dunk tank seat for him. The answer was sarcastic and ended in "which do you think he will choose, newbie or hypocrite".

What's the big beef with newbies? I'm a newbie in all aspects of this entire "secret society" and I like to ask questions and participate alot so are people as skeptical about me? I'm a lil worried now. Anyway QtheGreat has contacted me and our date is set for later today. He seems like a really nice guy I dont see why everyone is so uptight about him being new. Dont we all have to start somewhere? I dont think it should be so stressful or insulting. I think i'm gonna watch you guys from a distance but I will certainly keep you posted on my 1st experience.
