Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen.

The recent talk of a local Meet & Greet had sparked quite a bit of discussion, and a certain amount of interest.
My curiosity has me wondering…..how much interest is there, really?
If there are enough like-minded people who would like to see this happen, I’ll gladly pick up the reins and handle the details of putting a little shindig together.

Now here’s what I’ve got in mind. While the event will be held in Orlando, it is certainly open to anyone who enjoys our little home on the web here. If people would like to come in from anywhere in state…or out of state for that matter…you will certainly be welcome.

My co-host for such an event would be Sindie. She has graciously offered to help me with the planning and execution of such an event, as she has experience with such things.

What you can expect from this event is very simple. A very good, relaxed time in a zero drama environment. Any issues, problems, problematic personalities, and other assorted dramatic ingredients will be left at the door (yes….this includes me as well…LOL).

Preliminary thoughts are light food to be served, cash bar, and a raffle with the prize for the ladies being a spa day, and the prize for the gents to be determined. Your hosts will be providing the prizes, and all proceeds of the raffle will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Our goal is a minimum of 20 people…with the actual number hopefully being significantly higher. With this in mind, timing becomes quite important.
We are considering the date of May 21 (a Thursday) OR May 22 (a Friday) with, if there is enough interest, a possible informal lunchtime pool party the following Saturday.

Please state if you have any interest in attending, and which date will work.
Please also bear in mind that it will be impossible to establish a date that will work perfectly for everyone, so some flexibility will be required on your part.

We will be reviewing the responses until Tuesday, March 31st, at which time we will be able to determine if this is something we can all do.

DD, it sounds like a great event.  I have a feeling there will be a lot of interest.  Thanks to you and Sindie taking the reins and putting this together.
