I'm looking for an upscale place, that has a romantic ambiance...located by the convention center. I am open to many types of food.

Any suggestions you could give me would be greatly appreciated

Ocean Prime is a good choice on Sandlake Road. Seasons 52 is on Sandlake as well. For steak, you can't go wrong with Capital Grille on I-drive. Hope this helps!

Jump onto Sand Lake road west of I-4 and there are quite a number of good choices right there.  It's called Orlando's restaurant row.  Someone mentioned Season's 52, which is a great choice and it's in the same area.

Timpanos, an upscale Italian, has some romantic nooks here and there.  Definitely make reservations (actually make reservations at any of these places).

Samba room, great Latin food, and on some nights there is dancing afterwards.

Antonios is another Italian restaurant, this would probably be my top choice.

If you like fondue, the Melting Pot is there also.  Probably the most classically romantic of these restaurants.

Yes it's a chain but it is right by the convention center and very upscale.  The food was fabulous.  With the weather the way it is in the evening it was just perfect.

Try Napa it's in the Peabody hotel next to the OCCC. I had dinner there very recently and it was wonderful.

Kelly.....trust me when I say ...Christini's is the most romantic restaurant with amazing northern Italian food.....  on Sand Lake road near the convention center....10 minutes.....and every lady gets a rose....try the veal chop and the fra diablo.....have fun.....alphasdan

Do yourself a favor, find transport and take the time to go to Luma.  It's in Winterpark.

I've been a chef for 25 years, and am not associated in anyway with this restaurant.  I can say with total humility that the chef there know's what he doing.  

lumaonpark.com is their website, but it's more intimate than the pictures make it look.

Chathams place is about 3 miles from the convention center and is a very small buy very upscale place. In my book it is the finest in orlando....
