In the wake of RC's "cold water" post, I thought I'd offer a little WHOLLY UNSOLICITED outside perspective.....

Before I open myself up to too many 'flamers', I'll admit here that I don't live in Florida, although since I visit Florida often, almost all my hobbying has been with great Florida ladies (hence my more recent increased participation on this board).

I'm not a 'board malingerer'; TER is the only site I frequent.  I live in the northeast, and I occasionally lurk on the Boston and New England boards.  Though there are sometimes fun, sexy & thoughtful posters there, by and large these boards suffer a vacuum of fun & frivolity.  Compared to this board, e-tumbleweed blows across the landscape there....I seldom feel drawn in to participate.

And I think that's the difference with the Florida board: I feel drawn to participate; it's a welcoming place to be, it's fun, and....oh, yeah...it's got a lot of hot women who participate not only in ads but also in the friendly exchanges.

And guys, I'm not looking for a date here , but frankly you all seem to be a helluva lot of fun, too.  I've not met one of you, but your paticipation, mixed in with the ladies, is part of what puts some paint on this ever-changing canvas.  There's a texture to this board, even in its currently moderated fashion, that is friendly, welcoming, and sometimes just plain erotic.

Since I'm a more recent participant, I frankly don't see many of the changes that a lot of you folks are complaining about.

But, moderation-be-damned, you've still got the most attractive neighborhood around.  The desolation of the Boston board, or other boards that have been mentioned in that regard, stand in stark contrast to that party that you've been able to establish here.

So when I sign onto the Florida board, it's like I'm driving into my neighborhood.  I take the time to check and make sure the streetlights are on; the parks are clean & neat; the kids' ballfields are properly maintained; the schools are open.  If they change trash pick-up from Wednesday to Monday, I'll adapt.  If the streetside parking is eliminated on Maine Street, I'll figure it out.

I implore you all, moderator and posters, to consider the community you've all got, and make sure that what we have in the future doesn't turn into page after page of flamers like other regional boards.  You've got the best place to be, and I'm glad to have been welcomed in.

while I also do not live in Florida, the Florida board is like a second home to me.  While I do not make many posts, I find myself checking the Florida board daily, many times prior to my hometown board.

I was attracted to the Florida board because it was fun, lively, and many, many dedicated posters.  The playful banter back and forth is always a hoot to follow and I look forward to things like Fishnet Fridays, Wet and Wild Wednesdays, etc. I still remember the very first picture I saw on the Florida board...Eve on the boat with her Titliest hat (sorry I digress). Since the bucket of water came out earlier this week, I have definitely seen a decreased participation (or cencorship) on these fun playful times.

The Florida board is the best damn board on TER, BY FAR, and it is all because of the men and very hot and sexy woman that post here daily! To all of the wonderful men and women of the Florida board...please stay the course.  You have truly become a group of people that I love to follow and read about.

...Your thoughts are important. It helps to get some objective perspective from a visitor occasionally, since I think some of the guys here have become a little too self-involved. I sincerely hope that whatever differences exist on this board are handled, from now on, in an adult manner. I really feel embarassed at the kind of juvenile outbursts that have peppered the discussions lately, especially aimed at RC, who as I understand it, is just doing his job. We used to go out of our way to help newbies and offer them words of encouragement. We used to welcome visiting ladies. We used to make this a fun place, but something happened and it's embarassing. What's really disturbing is that seemingly normal guys have suddenly become bitter and spiteful, and that doesn't belong here...ever. The board is not about you.

These boards are a gift TER gives us, and when bandwidth is becoming scarcer and more expensive, we should make the most of it and try to leave our differences behind us. No one has to post here. If you object to the way it's run, go elsewhere, but please, find it within your humanity to spare the rest of us your hostility.

And as mom would say, "Now go back out there and play nice with the other kids."

I think that for those of us who have been around here for a year or three, we see a slow, yet very real, closing of the "fun" that we've all enjoyed here for years until recently. Like being shot in the head or dying from a thousand paper cuts, the end result is still the same....

And I think that's what many people are afraid is happening around here......

All of this "New" will only have one result. Less participation. And less participation will mean less viewers, less Reviews, fewer lurkers (who go on to sign up), less ladies, possibly less Biz for the ladies, etc. Is this a case where "less" is "good"? Hmmmmmmmm..............

I have to agree midatlantic. TER is my morning coffee, afternoon delight and bedtime snack. I get much pleasure from the boards and you never know where i'm lurking. Florida is the most diversified local board here.

This is a great board and so much fun to be on. I spend more time on the general board lately as less look at my posts. I think our rules are very easy to follow and liberal. We all can make this a better community or not.

and while midatlantic is so right on for the most part... something is changing.

I consider myself a bit of an outsider now, but still feel connected as I once lived in FL. Sometimes I post a lot for a few months and then I lighten up, as I am now.

I also was a top poster here in Dallas and tried to rev it up. They lost their mod and TER staff took over with sledge hammer attitude. Needless to say, any feeling of community that started with a handful of members here is gone - I haven't posted in more than a month here and most of the others have stopped. They bring in a mod now and he is trying but Dallas is RIP-ville.

And now I'm in one of those no-post phases for FL again - is it my cycle or is this shift on the FL board real and I'm losing interest altogether??? Who knows, my VIP expires in a couple of days, renewing is now a decision where it was automatic without thought before now.   .o2

Florida isn't the only board that is changing though. Having been part of TER for over 5 years, the entire community has changed. What was once a free flow of ideas with a very casual and fun tone has turned into a lot of angered instilled rants and quite frankly, a lot of needless, pointless posts. The FLorida board has suffered much less than other boards. If you look at the NY and Porn Stars boards, you would be astonished by the number of pointless rude posts, or pointless questions that could easily be answered via the "search function".

It seems like the community is changing as a whole. For every positive, new, great member, we get 4 that are here just to cause problems and probably have never seen a provider in their life. TER was a fantastic tool, now it is turning into something else. But why? The only thing that I can think of is the newer, more relaxed screening rules. Allowing anyone to post anything gives rise to this. But before, when moderators had to screen posts before they ever went up, the TER boards were a much merrier place.

These are just my observations. And I want to be clear, I am NOT ripping on new members. I think many of the newer people have contributed very nicely to all the boards, but some of the newer people and some that have been here for a while have only negatively impacted the boards as of late.

and I for one, think we have a choice to continue to have fun and can play nice with our friends on the playground....  

I say we all do our best to follow the rules, keep this upbeat and don't allow ourselves to be drawn into negativity....

Also an outsider who visits Florida frequently, I read the board all the time, but never post.  Midatlantic, that was a very thoughtful, well-written, and appropriate post.  

Perhaps the world feels stressed and it brings out the worst in us.  Nonetheless... good comments.

TER is in a total state of disarray.  With the big boy getting in more and more trouble, admin seems to be totally void of any ideas as to what to do.  So now they have a group of keystone cops running around who are even more clueless than they are!  It's like they are trying to "CLEAN" up the board in case outside interests decide to peek in.  Hey guys.....guess what....TER is STILL what it always was!!!!  It's a site where everything is illegal, and everyone who participates is breaking the rules.  So the answer MUST be...make MORE rules for those here that are breaking the rules in the first place!!!
The largest section of TER that has made news, or has been written about......is the REVIEW section and how ladies are graded on looks and performance!  No one discusses the discussion boards!  So it only makes sense to go back to having this site dump the discussion boards where all can participate, and highlight the review section as the MAIN reason for TER.  This is what our Mod said!  Am I missing something here?????

You are correct, the board still has the same fun posts every day. Any and everyone is welcome to post on these fun threads.

My take on RC's post was he was just fine tuning a little, that's all.

"Back in the day" ladies weren't supposed to have a link to their website on these threads and Sly posted about not doing it on several occasions. He also posted about 1-2 times a month refreshing the ladies on the rules of posting in case their ads weren't appearing on the board. Having the mod post the rules isn't new.

If you go back 6 months or so and look at the stuff on the board, it's really not all that different than it is today.

This is a great board with lots of participation. Hopefully it will continue to be the best regional board on TER.

so ago that TER Admin put out feelers for new Moderators. Don't know how many people from here volunteered, but I can imagine the rush wasn't all that great. So RC stepped forward, took a job that no one else wanted, is trying to do that job, and is getting trashed for it. I would also think that if anyone else thinks they could do a better job, all they have to do is inform TER Admin, and something can be worked out. I like the Florida board with all the good-natured camaraderie, lovely ladies and what not. Jut hate to see it coming to this kind of in-fighting. Just my "outside" observation.

Why are you concerned if TER is in disarray? Contribute to the board and have a nice day. Admin and the Big Boy are none of your's or our business. Enjoy it while it's here and play by the rules. Your shrill complaints accompanied by exclamation points don't make them any more justifiable.

And I would be remiss if I failed to mention the vast knowledge and experience you share with us with each drab post.
And I think TER's problems ARE our business as long as they continue to charge for a VIP membership, then continue to take things away.
So, I'll go on bitching about TER until they get it fixed.  And you can continue to trash ladies in your reviews, because their incalls are not 5 star establishments, or something else is not up to your high standards.

He's also a mod on other boards.  He was passed over in favor of RC. God only knows why.  The reason is probably that he runs his boards quite differently, and intercedes only when necessary...NOT out of the sheer joy he gets reciting rules.
BTW  this "infighting" happens on ALL boards, and has happened here for as long as I can remember.  The difference is rather than flame each other all the time...we have someone who seems to thrive on it, and continually does things to bring it on when the board gets too peaceful!

As to someone more qualified wanting the Mod, you're more privy to that than I, so I really can't speak to that. It is a lot easier to kill off a viberant atmosphere by drawing lines in the sand and posting rules than it is to work with people to make the board a better place.  it is also much easier to moderate a dead board where the only thing posted for weeks on end are the weekly ads than a live viberant one.  The question is which is better for the hobby and also TER.  In my opinion a live viberant board is a sign of excitement about the hobby.  A dead board with weekly ads that are up week after week. Well I don't need TER for that that is why there are other ad sites.

Man, I always enjoyed your posts, but you seemed to try too hard to be funny and that became tedious. It appears that your comedy is a mask for some unresolved issues, which I don't care to explore.

BTW, I never "trashed" her incall location. I thought she could use an upgrade and I made it clear that I was very impressed with her as a person and a provider. Very gallant of you to care, but also indicative of your method of trying to find a way to unfairly slime someone.

When all this first went down, I contacted Admin and voiced my displeasure on the new direction the board was being steered in.   I don't know RC or particularly care for him, but I can say that I was told that he was doing exactly what they had tasked him to do.  So maybe you need to take a step back and realize that the guy is just doing his job.  Truth be told, with everything that's been said here, I wouldn't blame him for being much more "in your face" than he is, I know I would be.

TER is a revenue generating entity and the powers that be are going to run their business to maximize profit, not pandering to the to the personalities on the board.  I don't like it either, I like the old entertaining board better, but this is the way it is.

I am not a VIP, no longer hobby and have started a real relationship, so I have no vested interest either way.  I am just passing on information that was given to by Admin.

...now I know why. Thanks for your input here, and always. Your views were always right on and I enjoyed your finely tuned sense of humor.

All we seem to get is the rules without the human element.
