At a recent meet and greet, I found that Tampa icon, Mermaid Jade, is leaving the business and retiring-She has been a wonderful part of the Tampa Community for years and in honor of her and her retirement comes the following tribute......

                                                                               A FAREWELL TO THE MERMAID

                                                         Some years ago Tampa Bay was blessed
                                                         When the Mermaid swam here
                                                         and Holy Cow! What a chest!
                                                         She was sweet and fun and all her sessions
                                                         were the absolute ultimate when she gave 'swimming lessons'
                                                         a master marketer and a sweetheart to boot
                                                         her fun ads and poems were really a hoot
                                                         Mermaid Jade was her name and seeing her was a great treat
                                                         She gave all her sailors and seamen mega smiles for weeks!
                                                         She was classy and warm with great professional style
                                                         and for her sailors always went the 'extra mile'
                                                         a massage from the Mermaid would sure make you quiver
                                                         She could have been a mailman 'cause she'd always deliver
                                                         the Mermaid's fun lair was a place quite appealing
                                                         there was even a big mirror on the ceiling
                                                         Her great attitude was always 'on'; if down, she never gave a sign
                                                         it was always her goal to show you a great time
                                                         in taking care of her sailors, Jade sure raised the bar
                                                         and in giving the GFE, she was simply a SUPER STAR!
                                                         We wish her Godspeed and will miss this great friend
                                                         and she'll always be for us a '10/10'
                                                         Our knowing you for these years has been just a pleasure
                                                         And we wish the greatest life and happiness to this legendary Tampa Treasure.

OMG, 1rob,
That was the sweetest tribute I have ever read.  I only wish I could have said it, because it is exactly what I wish for the lovely lady we know as Mermaid Jade.  We will all miss her presence and of course wish her the best in her new future.

She is a treasure that is irreplaceable around here, and as my friend 1rob said will always be a 10/10.

We bid you a fond farewell, Mermaid Jade, as you sail off into a new horizon.  May the wind always be at your back.

lady who set the bar for GFE in the Tampa area when she started out.  

It was wonderful to see her at the M & G and be able to say "goodbye" to her personally. I'm sure you said your farewells too.

But man, this poem takes the cake and is a wonderful tribute to MJ.
