Kelly, I am so sorry that happened to you. We judge other people by our own standards and since we would not take someone else's  keys, we don't think anything about tossing them on a desk ... unfortunately there are those that think much differently. Tell you the truth, I've always been more aware of where my room key card is than my car keys!
Again, really sorry that you had to endure such an expensive lesson!

I was once 100% convinced a cleaning lady stole my social security card...no doubt in my mind.  About 3 years later, I found it in a box that had gotten packed up (not by me) for a move.  Doh!

And ladies, here's another heads up....

When a traffic light turn red, stop.

A couple more I know you already know....

When walking up or down stairs, place one foot after the other.

If it snows, wear a heavy coat.

When you eat your food, keep your mouth closed when you chew your food.

If you burb or fart, say excuse me.

When you cash a check, bring your photo id.

You have to be 21 to purchase alcohol.

There are 50 states that make up the USA.

Don't forget to wipe after you pee or poop.
