Granted, I had some great times with local ladies as well, but my times with PS's, Playmates, Maxim/FHM models were off the hook.  

Alexis Amore is about as beautiful as they get and some of the UTR's I saw are right up there with her.  I don't own or watch much porn, but the PSE is worth it to me because these ladies make a production of it.  Hair, makeup, clothing and performance are all perfect for every encounter.  I do agree that it is relative to what you can afford.  $2.5K to some guys is like $25 to us.

Porn Star provides charge extremely high rates, I have seen them 2.5k an hour. In my opinion they are high mileage and worn out. I once had a friend who is a simi-celebrity bragging that he was boinking Heather Hunter. I was like dude that is nothing to brag about. She did porn for 15 years. She has had more sticks in her than a candy apple factory. Back to the high rates. They do not get what they charge hobbyist for going a scene in a film? Just seems like a waste mullah to me I would rather spread that 2.5 k around and easily see eight regular providers? What do others think.

TL, basically I agree with you. I have never paid over 450 for an hour.  Why pay over 1K for a girl when you can get a girl just as hot but without the PS baggage for lots less.  While there are a few PS's out there I would love to romp with, I just ain't gonna pay their, IMHO, outrageous hourly rates. Besides, most of the pornstar names that get mentioned here, I have never seen or heard of.  Sorry girls.

I've seen adds for $1K and on up.  There is no way I have that kind of spare cash for a date.  I too would rather see more girls for a lot less per hr.  It is all about being an informed consumer.  

There is one former Tampa lady who recently toured Tampa that has done porn and has a porn site.  Her rate is much more reasonable than the 1K rate.

I mean...how much better can it get after a certain amount of money.  I guess it's bragging rights.  I too would rather spread that cash around and have dates with more ladies!  There are plenty who do what they do AND add GFE to it.
So, I have never understood the attraction.  Maybe if I won the lottery and had plenty of spare change, I'd try it.  The one thing I had to add to the observation about the high milage, is the fact that I have not seen that many who advertise that are any better looking than many of the providers I've seen. So there is just no incetive for me to get that excited about the porn stars at HUGE prices,

the difference is, very few are so self absorbed that they feel the need to point out their total superiority to the rest.  While I've grown accustomed to the constant name dropping of over priced hotels, over priced wines, over priced restaurants,over priced dates,etc.,  That last sentence was definitely the most blatent to date.  The only thing left to figure out is whether it's a potshot at us poor middle class guys for NOT having truckloads of extra cash on hand, or if there is a void that all that money can't seem to fill. :-X

If I properly read what you are saying, you seem to be implying that that sentence was a "potshot at us."

Isn't he including himself in the "us" category?  It's not like he claimed, "$2,500 to me is like $25 to you."

Don't really know most of the personalities on this board, but this certainly doesn't seem like something to get worked up about.  Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Before you drag us both somewhere we don't care to go, read what I had actually said.  There are guys who spend MAJOR $ on this hobby.  I know one dude personally who spends in the hobby more than I make in a year. It is a fact.  He will pay the premium because to him, it isn't a premium at all.

Nobody took a potshot at you, get chip off your shoulder. If you are going to flame me, at least get your facts straight. Us = me, you and the other guys who inhabit this board.  The high rollers usually don't hang or post here, but most certainly do exist.

last sentence than was meant to be there.  In fact, had that last sentence not been there, it was a perfect counterpoint to what everyone else on that thread had to say, and made a great case as to why those who will spend the money on them do so. BUT, as the only person who did not agree with the fact that they were too expensive, and we could not afford them....he was now speaking to a group.  So to say to the group, who were all shy of the funding to justify this, "To some people 2.5K is like $200 to us"...my question was Who TF is "US"?
Certainly wasn't the people on that thread who were all pissed because we can't get Government hobby funding to allow us to try seeing a pornstar, to see if we REALLY felt they were not worth it.  (It's research money, my application was turned down! lol.)...So it must be some OTHER "us" !
I see how it could be interpreted by some, and those in disagreement can see how it could be interpreted by others.

SO....I will put it this way....It was a VERY poorly thought out response, to a very poorly thought out last sentence, attached to a very good argument.

much debated-  used to be more interested in seeing pornstars but you have a good point you aren't really getting value in that there are tons of very hot well reviewed providers you can see for much less-  that being said you are paying for the fantasy and the fact that you've seen her on film- which may be worth it- also- a lot of pse's who book independently have much more reasonable rates- there is a guy who posts a list of "300 club" pses on the pornstar board (though there really 300-500) lastly I've seen some pse whose performance was average but I saw Ryan Conner, Kathy Conners, Ava Devine and a few others that were worth it
