I've noticed (as I'm sure many of you have) the increasing volume of posts on this message board from guys traveling to a certain area seeking recommendations/tips for companionship. Often, the seeker has done little to no research on his own, and has failed to utilize any of the tools (other than his own) to locate and schedule an appointment. In addition, the "iso" requests rarely, if ever, include limiting information such as age range, body type, etc.  In other words, "seeking hot companion in Orlando" is a just a post that takes up space.

Asking somebody to check the reviews, be more specific, and the like--this is so obvious that it's largely a waste of space. I don't have any issue whatsoever with the ladies responding to these generic, lazy posts--this is a business, after all. My larger point is that we all need to elevate and engage each other to make this board more fun. It's a crashing bore to see these "iso" posts litter the Board.

Since TER admin started allowing ISO posts on the regional boards, that's what they have become.  Didn't used to be that way.
I used to report them, but kept getting responses saying that the post was allowed, I stopped.  It's gotten to the point that if there weren't ISO posts, the regional boards would be fairly empty.

You are right on point. A little research is all it takes to find hundreds or thousands of beautiful women in Florida. These folks are just lazy

ISO messages from laxy guys should be on the area ad board.  They are the perfect match to the ladies ads there.  One is ladies looking for guys and the other is a guy looking for ladies.

A couple comments. I search extensively, but at some point all the reviews begin to sound the same (mostly us guys talking about how good WE are!), and I have sometimes found when I travel, posting an ISO gets some UTR recommendations or others who may not always show up so readily in a search. Two of my best experiences were responses to my ISO posts from ladies recommending other ladies who were friends and new to the biz. Those recommended new IRS would not have shown up in a search. And the ISO's can lead to more  customized, personal recommendations than a general review can. I agree that specificity helps - in my original attempt to post an ISO here the other day, I specified age range, height, cup, physique type, and personality, but that post was not approved, so I was more general in my re-write.

The other thing, these ISO posts don't hurt anyone, right? If they annoy you, just don't answer them. And it's not like their presence diminishes people from making other types of posts. If there is a dearth of interesting posts, don't blame it on the ISO's, blame it on people not posting interesting things!

Anyway, that's another perspective. And if anyone heads up to DC and wants a more personalized recommendation based on your specific preferences, just let me know and I'll help if I can!

Several possible reasons IMO FWIW.

1) Loss of local moderators.  ISO posts were usually not permitted on the local boards when they were moderated locally...those posts were often moved to the ISO board, where they belong.   Central Command does nothing to limit this currently, and it's effects are clearly detrimental.
2) Loss of the Chat function after the last upgrade several years ago.   This tremendously damaged TER.
3) The propensity of many hobbyists who are to too lazy and passive to do their homework, and just post their entreaties.  Move their BS posts to the periphery, and allow only posts that pique interest in conversing with each other.  Maybe TER should add a third local board specifically for all these ISO's.
4) Creation of the ads board.  Before these were created, the ladies had to post ads on the local boards.  As a result, the good ladies received positive feedback in addition to reviews, and this encouraged their participation on a much greater scale.

If I was a newbie now, it's doubtful I would be able to make things happen as they did twelve years ago.  Thank heaven I was here back when TER worked as it was originally intended...

If the Florida board was broken up into regional areas, like South FL, Central, and pan handle or Northern, etc; then there might not be so many iso's trying to narrow down who's located where.

We had a great response here on the Orlando board until they got rid of the local MODS. Ever since then it's been a pretty low keyed forum. I used to post here all of the time, I was one of the top 10 poster here for many months in ago. We used to have a lot of fun, fun, fun and good information sharing.

I just wish this could be a fun board again!!

Sometimes it works. Most of the time it fizzles out.

One time I got smacked down for trying to start conversations by someone here (who's posted on this thread, actually). I think he called my posts "obvious and repetetive"... whatever. After that I don't get too excited about posting here. So y'all can have your ISOs. I love posting in the PO board, and occasionally on the GD board. But I'll rarely start threads anymore. I remember posting in the P&R forum too, and someone there sent me a really nasty, vile PM, so I quit that too.

Rudeness tends to chase people away. I mean, for chrissakes, not every single post posted by someone with a vagina and a website is a threAD. And who TF cares if it is?? I guess some people prefer ISOs

to read the ISOs they can ignore them. We can't blame people who post ISOs for a collective failure to come together as a community and have some conversation. We have only ourselves to blame for that.

Back when we had local mods, each regional board had its own personality.  Members who participated were a mixed bag of weird, nice, crazy, and of course, some were nasty but they were kept in check.  The vast majority were quite helpful and it seemed like more of a community of like-minded people.  Whether or not you agreed with the mods or the concept of having mods, they kept the boards alive and vibrant and it was good entertainment.

After mods, TER experimented with "hosts" with various volunteering providers and/or hobbyists being hostess or host-of-the-month if I recall.  Some were active and hung on for well more than a month and some were never heard from at all.  That idea was a failure but I can't blame the volunteers.  They tried but the bottom line is that it was the beginning of a slow death of how the local boards once were.

Today, I only lurk around about once a month to see if there have been any changes but it's mainly repetitious ISO's getting the same repetitious responses saying to do their homework.  TER runs the ship and they can do with it whatever they want but unless TER would somehow to decide to go back to the old ways, this is what it is.  IMHO, it's no longer entertaining or interesting so I'll just continue to lurk around from time to time.  My best to all.

California is much larger in both area and population, and both providers and hobbyists, in comparison to Florida. California now has 7 different regional boards. The LA, SD and SF boards are the only boards that have sufficient activity and participation to make them informative and interesting. The other 4 boards are dying a slow death and offer little information and discussion. It takes many committed participants to keep a board interesting and relevent. it is very sad to tune into a dying board. Once it looses its mojo it's over. If anything Florida could use a Miami and Orlando/Tampa board. Sorry Tallahassee and Jacksonville. No need for any more at this time.

You are someone who always tries to contribute and engage people--and for those of us who read and value your posts, we are grateful. I've often chuckled at one of your observations/comments.

At least the thread I started brought out some lively exchanges and comments. Thank you for caring and seeking a true community on the Board! We are all in this together (I've read that somewhere).

It takes thick skin to survive or even thrive on a local board, or the even the GD Board for that matter. Lots of mean spirited banter and attacks towards the ladies especially. Don't give up you provide great insight into the human condition. Some guys, like me lol, just can't get enough insight into the ladies. Some of the guys just get nasty and domineering. I guess the anonymity is just too tempting to keep them courteous, respectful and reasonable. Maybe we should ask Mr. Fisher, GAG, Roxanne , etc. to help us jumpstart this board. I'm new to So. Florida, now split my time between LA, NE and So. Florida. I find myself looking at the Atlanta, LA, Chicago, Minnesota and Boston/NE boards for entertainment and information. I would love to see a thriving Florida board.

Yes, I was maybe a little harsh in my response, but what he was seeking was easily obtainable, even if he was a newbie with one review.  The constant din of the ISO posts is making the boards a teenage wasteland...oh, for the days when TER was a forum for informed hobbyists and providers to share info, stories, and quips rather than mentioning being desperate.  Oy vey...doing your homework works wonders...
