My girlfriend and I are planning a quick trip to Tampa and wondering if there are any fun strip clubs that we both might enjoy, or any fun bars or other venues that the locals might suggest.

Mons Venus is the place to go. Seriously!!

I went to Mons in college and got my first taste of the hobby with a handjob from a dancer.  (I was so naive).

I was there a few months ago and it seemed like the rules had changed and there was little contact.

But we'll check it out.

If you want some privacy with a hottie: 2001, which is right across the street from Mons. And I believe anything goes here!

If you have time and don't mind the drive, Bare Assets (US 19 in Tarpon Springs) and Brass Flamingo (US 19 in Port Richey) are two Totally Nude clubs with usually pretty hot girls, and they serve alcohol, unlike the Mons and 2001 in Tampa. I have had some very good extra benefits in the private room at Brass Flamingo, although they did get busted a couple years ago. My girlfiend and I did have some fun at 2001, actually, she had more fun than I did!

The two mentioned above...Full nude.....friendly but not pushy...alcohol at Bare Assets and cigars at both.....like the former days..... the Mons to me is no privacy and not much for your money now....but still have great looking ladies....2001 upstairs is still good also.

Over the last eight years in the Bay area I've done the strip joint thing with several girlfriends. I'd never take them to the Mons. No privacy (shoulder to shoulder lap dances next to strangers), and too many guys who got drunk elsewhere and can't tell the difference between the dancers and your date. Or more likely they don't care. It's fun with friends, but the atmosphere lacks the intimacy and sense of security that the ladies I know were seeking. We found Deja Vu out on Adamo to be the best. During a couch dance in back the dancer invited my girl to disrobe as well. If you really want to push the envelope, try one of the on premise swingers clubs like Club Elite in Port Richey. There's another on Adamo just east of the strip clubs. It opened where the Pleasure Palace used to be but I can't think of the name off hand.
