Perhaps... Dynamic Duo?

We are happy that everyone feel so passionately about the boards. Rest assured that every voice is heard.

Alright, first, can someone please come up with a better name for the position? If someone does AND we use it, we will give you 180 vip days.

We will start with what the “Cruise Director” (CD) will not be. This spot WILL NOT MODERATE the board. Customer Support will moderate these boards.

We will now cover what they will do. The CD will encourage fun, constructive conversation. The CD needs to be an ambassador who will help make the boards a welcoming place for all. Special things happen on certain days on most of the boards. The CD needs to be the official emcee of these events. Finally, the CDs (male and female) need to as point/counterpoint so that there is interesting banter (and not the drama kind) between the sexes.

We think that it is best to have one male and one female “cruise director” at the same time. We are thinking about terms of one month to start. It is easy to change on the beginning of each month. People can be the CD more than one, but not more than once in a row.

We understand that this will not be perfect. We are sure that there will changes we figure out the best balance moving forward.  But with positive, constructive feedback, we believe that the boards can be a lot of fun while still being a welcoming place to be.

.. AND above all, we have to have fun in here.

So, do we have any volunteers or nominations?

I said it below, this is a fucking STUPID idea!!!!!

You want to make changes, fine, so why not instruct the moderator you had in place lead the change?  He was doing a great fucking job, and now you come along and FUCK it up with this Stupid ass idea.

How about this, if your going to do this on THIS board, then do it on all the other boards as well.....see how well your genius thinking will go!!!

Its a known fact that there are SEVERAL WHINING BITCHES AND ASSHOLES on this and every board.....Have some balls and tell them to SHUT IT!!!!  The last few Mods that this board has had, have all done a great job respectively....especially when they have minimal boards to Moderate...they are a voice of reason, but unless you do nothing but sit in front of a computer all damn day, things are sure to get missed and not given the attention YOU feel they deserve.

I can go on and on, but I know it will fall on deaf ears...you make your bed, you lie in it....but I'll end it with this again....

Obviously, it doesn't matter what we think.  We may as well embrace the idea and hopefully everythinng will work out.  No need in beating this issue to death.  Let's see what happens, I think we all know that this is going to be a ship wreck, pun intended.

You might want to use a railway term instead, because you'll have trainwrecks all over the place. I'm not sure what brought about this change, but it seems to be hasty and ill advised. Moderators are necessary because this site breeds drama, and it always will.

You just can't take some people across the damn street without holding their hand, and you will come to realize that soon after these changes take hold. I feel bad for the moderators, as they have sacrificed time and effort only to be pushed aside. As if they are somehow to blame for the inconsistent behavior at the top of pyramid. If ownership could stay on point and back their own rules consistently, there would be no need for dramatic change, especially a detrimental change like you have in the works. Just remember...shit rolls downhill.

One of us so to speak won't be dealing with slashing out rules. Instead of on a volunteer position someone will get paid to be sure rules are followed, things are kept in check, and all will be treated as equal. Now instead of the moderator moderating you the folks who have nothing to gain will take over those duties.

Although, at first thought, I am not sure if this is a good idea, it is apparent that Admin has determined that this is the direction it would like to go.  We have all expressed our thoughts, both pro and con.  With this new format in place, it will show the personalities of those "directing" for the month.  We may have a great month, and we may have a bad month. At least everyone will know who is behind the curtain so to speak.

My suggestion would be instead of "cruise director" why not use "guest host/hostess" for the month. It reminds us it is only temporary. Plu,s with recent events and the direction of the Florida Board lately, I am not sure relating it to a cruise is appropriate ... or maybe it is

their own name for it...

We all think that DD was treated horribly. If we do anything let's start this journey in his honor. One of his famous quotes: "Never forget that whoever owns the site....whoever mods the board.....as I've ALWAYS said since day one....it's the board members that MAKE a board what it is".

Let's face it everyone, we aren't going to win this fight, no matter how many rounds we are in the ring, sadly...it's time to throw in the towel.

I do not like this idea at all.  If you can't moderate the boards and keep everyone in line then why even bother.  There are soo many whiners, trouble makers (just like Haya stated) that they really need to be dealt with accordingly.  Plus I have more important things to do in my life then worry or deal with being a "cruise director". This will be a trainwreck and is not positive at all. However, I am not the power to be and have no control over that. I can just chose what and when to give my opinion....so....

Please no one nominate me.  I don't have the time nor the energy to deal with this. I would much rather save my energy and put my focus on the men that chose to come and see me and fulfill their dreams. Please keep the drama away from me...I despise it at all costs!!

This could be a problem.

what happens when admin takes control of the site.  We get posts about big, fat clits and other rubbish that would have been welcomed after a "clean-up".

We had posts telling about specific hotels to set up incall.

Last week, with the exception of some great pics and a few good threads, was a disjointed free-for-all.

If you think for one minute that "customer service" is going to effectively wipe away the inconsiderate posting here, you're deluded.  Haley, they can't even SPELL.  And I don't say this to pick a fight with you, Haley.  I respect your opinions, but I think turning over moderating a board to someone with no skin in the game is JUST WRONG.

(1) I'm not necessarily concerned about the "CD" position, though in some ways I think that's already taking place on the Florida board, but it's not "official".  These rotating CD's MUST NOT HAVE access behing the curtain.  Because on that soon-to-come day when I want to post under an alias about how best to approach a farm animal for maximum erotic results, I don't want the whole world to know it's ME. (Obviously, I'm not going to do that, but outlining my point by extreme example seemed like the best way to drive it home.

If there's one cornerstone of what makes TER what it is, it's safety in anonymity.  I'm not naive enough to believe it's total, because I've learned the hard way that it isn't, but it's sure as hell incumbent on TER administrators to cultivate a framework and an atmospere that gives the hobbying community THE BEST POSSIBLE CHANCE of maintaining anonymity.

(2) "Customer Support" will NEVER moderate this board (or any other) to its optimal operation.  Why?  For one, the English is broken; and second, YOU DON'T SPEAK FLORIDA!  Last week Board Admin claimed mod duties, and within a day we got a post up asking about big, juicy clits.  That would have been taylored to a better suited request under real moderation.

(3) IMHO, and contrary to some opinions, the moderator of a board ought to have some "skin in the game", even if that skin is simply being a respected member of the community.

(4) It seems disingenuous to come to us and tell us you had a "plan" all along.  You might have had a plan, but if the unceremonious dumping of a couple populare mod constitutes that plan, then I have to wonder if I want to be aligned with you.

My request---and recommendation---is to reinstate the moderator AND to put your CD's in place.  IF anyone will take the jobs.

See...I'm not just pissing and moaning against change---I just want it to be the best it can be.

Remember the reign of Gator Jimmy? Talk about the inmates running things. He and his giddy pack of goons ran the place into the ground. Admin had to step in and wrestle control. Reading their recent statement re: goals for the board and their explanation for the mod change, it appears Admin believes the same negative elements remain.

Don't be fooled here because i'm not. I use to be a viable asset to this community and been drug down to and old hag.

Moderation will be swift and fast but the street sweeper will clean this crap up once they figure how to and what is best for the community and TER. Please don't tell me some of those posts weren't planted to draw attention to what others want. We are moderated as newbies and it might take time since so many regular posters have many profiles or member names here but their attention will be lack luster and will disappear without fan fair.

This may not be so bad.  The board will still be moderated, as it should.  If you think about it, we have had CD's before.  Sexy Toni did it for years with her song of the day and conversation topics.  This position is more for board flow than anything else.  Sly was a CD/ mod and was the best. My biggest concern is not the CD's, but the moderation form afar and who will actually be doing it and hoe it will be carried out.  I believe that is the true variable here.

Let's give it a chance.  Every company takes chances and makes changes and TER is doing just that.  No, I am not happy about how the transition was conducted, but it's over and we need to get back to making the Florida board the best on TER.  DD's sweat and toil will be wasted if we don't move on.  For my part, I promise to be more moron friendly in the future and bite my virtual tongue instead of flaming.

We can either embrace this and make the board what it was, or wallow in it and kill it quickly.

The new positions will have no way of looking at your personal info. That's not what their here for anymore.

Have you ever thought of what would happen if a moderated got caught up in some legal battle. How about if their favoritism was looked upon as a part of "a continuing enterprise to facilitate prostitution" .  Did that come out of my mouth.

I'm a real dumb blonde but very street smart and for me this is a very smart move on TER's part and all of us are much safer for it. They come down on a Mod all info available to them could be in serious danger. Oh, that's right brother love. But what happens when the car is towed out of the driveway, all bank accounts are frozen and your house is no longer a viable asset for you to get money for legal expenses. All this because you volunteered your free time.

The times they are changing and new rules are coming for all on the internet and TER is smart enough to look ahead before it happens. All the bumps in the road will happen before the chaos of those laws take effect.

Mods can only see your real handle when you post using an alias and your posting history.  They have no access to "personal information".

I see such a stir over who will have axis to what on all the different boards. As an ex mod yourself others will find closure to some hesitation even though the new positions will not have anything to do with that aspect of the board.

Just a thought

You are describing what a host or hostess does when someone attends a party.  Therefore, why not call them Host or Hostess for whatever time they serve in that position.

They are just overlooking the board for a certain amount of time without having moderation abilities.

I am interested in his new program.  It would be nice for more people of this community to get involved.  The boards loose their purpose when only a few people participate.  With the ad boards now, it just seems like some of the ladies just post an ad but never participate on the discussion board.  This is a great way to meet people you would normally wouldn't.
