Hi

I find myself having to go to Tampa
no set date yet on other business which
is career related and I'd like to ask
if someone can help me with 3+ star hotels
within reasonable distance to the airport?

Kennedy at Westshore. Mall across the street. 5 minutes from TPA. Don Shula Steakhouse on site. Very nice accomodations.

Thank you so much! I didn't know Schula's
was in Florida they have the best filet mignon.
That was where a hobbyist took me and introduced
me to Mondavi .I'll check this out and thank

Hilton Airport Westshore is very nice as well

Shula's Steak Houses were founded by NFL Hall of Fame coach Don Shula, who coached the Miami Dolphins to two Super Bowl championships. The original Steak House is in Miami (Miami Lakes, specifically). Just wanted you to know as some folks might think you are less than erudite when you say 'I didn't know Shula's was in Florida'. Just trying to help.

I don't know I never really followed where
a restaurant originated or who owns it other
than Ditkas in Chicago who is also a retired
coach but that's known mostly because he tells
all of us and appears at his own restaurant but Shulas was not known to me until I had dinner
with a client in Chicago . But thanks for the info I dont really care what folks think if they want to think  I am erudite then they are pretty much looking to judge . Thank you for the history of the place I'll have to compare chefs when I visit FL and see if the quality of beef is the same as here. If you want to dine let me know I might have time after my other business. I fixed your typo from

They're at least smart enough to watch this board, see this thread, catch a later post with Angela's visit dates, & sit on the hotel while she's there!  Would YOU want to go visit under those circumstances?

...You can't be serious. We're talking about Tampa PD here, who have pretty much allowed private, discrete, consensual sexual activity to flourish unimpeded. There's enough real crime going on to keep them occupied, and they do target street performers regularly.

Paranoid folks will see undercover cops in every hotel parking lot, lobby and hallway......You can come up with any number of scary scenarios, but the reality is that hobbying in Tampa is relatively safe if you practice descretion and common sense.

I don't want to ask again . I am NOT

Shulas restaurant which is NOT what I asked
about , with the most ridiculous statements

Hi Angel - Sorry you felt we Floridians were getting off track on your request for information.  Spring Hill Suites near the airport is relatively inexpensive and nice.  I stayed there for 4 months.  To upscale it a bit (depending on your company's reimbursement) I suggest the Renaissance at International Plaza...very nice accomodations and you can enjoy all that International Plaze has to offer!  Best of Luck to you.
