What does the board think?
In too many cases they are used in a way that was never intended. I have a few aliases I have used but I use them in fun, just as you do Marshall_Dillon. Some of us are responsible people and don't use their aliases to try to stir up drama on the board but, there are the few here who use them for just that. That is what I would like to see eliminated.
the poster coming across as the heavy. Marshall.Dillon and Sheriff Taylor have posted a fair amount, to some people's disappointment, but all they've tried to do is keep the board efficient and neat.
Another good use would be providing information that others might wonder why you have. And I don't mean personal, sensitive information. For instance, if a guy posted looking for a good black market penicillin source, I wouldn't post that under my real handle. BTW, I don't know where to find penicillin....LMAO
If you are going to start a thread, do so under your main handle. That would certainly make TER a friendlier place, which appears to be the goal here.
under an alias any how-If you don't have the gumption to post under your name and stand behind it, why bother? My 2 cents- 1rob
If people lost there aliase it would stop all the attacks..implied attackes, flames..........Drama and hurt feelings........Then the board would just be a nice little community of providers and Hobbiest.......You dont want that do you..........
How about a limit on how many times a person can post on a board in one month..especially non-vip's
Maybe if there was a limit people would post more usefull info on here tthat help men get a better bang for the buck...........Dont know just asking.........

My thoughts are aliases cause more trouble than they solve issues and their use should be prohibited. Most rational people discount what an alias says since it was written "anonymously". I find that aliases say more insulting provocative things than they do positive, helpful statements (which are mostly done with the "real" TER handles). Finally, there is no hard fast rule when it comes to TER mods and admins flipping (revealing) aliases so the additional layer of anonymity provided by use of an alias (which TER mods and admins can already see through) is questionable at best. This also implies that those who use aliases frequently enjoy a relationship of trust with the TER mods and believe that their aliases will not be flipped at all.
In summary, aliases are great tools for stirring up trouble and drama on a board. If that is TER's goal, then it should keep them. If not, then it should eliminate them.
It would have been nice if you also stated the reasoning behind your question.
Or hows this for a made-up scenario.
One or more ladies I've seen/see post the same pics over and over again. Or they post pics that have nothing to do with the thread. It's annoying, self-serving, and lazy.
They are nice people, and screw really well.
I like their company and dislike how they diminish the quality of the board.
I can state my opinion, get the opinion of others, and not deal with their drama if they know I'm talking about them.
Of course that's just a work of fiction.
So why did you use one when all you were doing is saying someone is right?
some of the biggest offenders post most often. Not knowing who the alias is makes you wonder if it's someone you admire in his second skin.
Ter isn't going to make changes unless they feel it would be better for the whole. This has been suggested many times only to be attacked and maligned. What's with all these sudden profound changes that most guys where fighting to keep. I'm glad a man is suggesting this and I don't know many ladies who wouldn't agree with you.
I have always said from early on "an alias has no power". Your good name makes what you say in this community mean something. You work hard to find a happy medium in which one can express your own thoughts and allow others theirs without being a bully but not the alias, he has nothing to lose.

I hVe to say that I like the idea- however, there is a time when posting with an alias is necessary. I have an example. Last year I started a thread about a provider no-show & did it under an alias because I mentioned in the thread that this particular provider was one that I had previously seen. The last thing I wanted was for my reviews to be scrutinized & possibly lead people to make a decision on whom I was talking about. This would have been unfair to the women that I had posted reviews for. I feel that this was a good use for an alias. What I don't like about the aliases is it gives morons & idiots a platform for their oral diarrhea to be splattered around the board. If you are going to call someone out or just try to start trouble, grow a pair and stand behind your words. Besides, the last time I checked, aren't we all using aliases here?
Just my opinion for whatever it's worth.
an alias is warranted or if a poster is making a joke and I've certainly laughed at some of the clever aliases posted-My problem is with those who make snotty comments to others or make nasty attacks under an alias-It is these whom I have no use for- Such postings are chicken droppings in my view-have a nice weekend 1rob
