I needed to vent and didn't know where else 2 vent.. since things have been slow I figured hey if a normal job comes by take it.  Yesterday it did. I got offered a job at the hotel I like to use. I got home and everyone in my life shit on it. I was happy yet everyone else just crapped on it and told me I'm stupid for taking the job. I was planned to goto training today. And got ready and then told the person giving me a ride was bailing bc they think I shit where I sleep taking the job.  So.... I texted the owner saying sorry don't think it's a fit n sorry 4 the inconvenience.  Now I'm depressed and can't get my mind off of it. Ugh!

Several years ago I became unemployed due to being let go from a company for economic reasons. Several weeks later, I interviewed and was offered a very good job in my hometown. But after a week of thinking and experience from previous years in the same industry, I just couldn’t do it. I called potential employer and told them I could not accept job and it would be beneficial to them as I wouldn’t give 100%. Now years later, and back in the same industry, I am where I wanted my career to end up anyways. I make good money, doing what I like, and where I want to be!!

And the company that let me go??? Went bankrupt less than two years later.

So just think of it as a speed bump or detour in where you really are headed!

I’m sure the Geneva has a high turnover rate; there will be more job opportunities there in the future.

You responded to an outcall post last night as you have others in the past.  How were you going to get there? If you can get to an outcall why can't you get to a job?

There is always Uber.

To an outcall I can normally work out details. But 4 work I asked 2 borrow a car from a roommate... and since it was for work they were cool at first.. then changed there mind.

It about time someone speaks the truth and announces the elephant in the room. It sounds like you having a regular job would be good for you, and bad for them. Sometimes the truth hurts, but we need to hear it. You are being used.

Well it's not 1 person ... I was told by my own family I was being stupid for it.. that I am smarter n better then 2 work at a place like that. And hell my family isn't even in the same state.  But I was just over joyed 2 have a reg job again that was steady income vs my reg job I do now that isn't steady income...

But it's all water under the bridge now.. live in the now not the past... otherwise u will just be upset and miss out of the new joys that life has to offer...

i completely agree with this, darling. A job is a job and it doesnt matter where. If your family wants to get mad at you for getting one, then thats for their own selfish reasons, not for YOUR well being. It is water under the bridge and like you said its not great to live in the past. But if its going to affect you in the future, next time you just need to give them a big fuck you. Transpirtation issues suck ass and it was really shitty of your friend to bail last minute. I would reccomend trying to set aside some emergency transportation money whenever you can, just incase something lie that happens again. That way you can take uber or the bus.
I dont know what area you're living in, but theres this little wine shop inside the FL Mall that's hiring if you want to give it a shot(:
