The number of "reads" a post get, especially with photo threads, is usually based on when the post goes up.
Today, for example, I know that several posts were up before 7a.m. These would get the highest number of views....because they are up before any others.
There was a large gap in time before the first couple posts went up today....and the ones that followed.
Also....the first post in a thread will usually have the highest number of reads because ladies have to click on that post to reply to it.

Most men do their surfing in the morning. Before the jobs we actually have require us to focus on other things. There's always viewing throughout the day...but traffic is high in the morning, lunch time, and late afternoon.

Yes....once in a GREAT while someone, or her white knights, will click on a post repeatedly. This is SO rare in the years I've been here that it is of little consequence.

This is far from the first time I've heard a complaint about 'number of reads' to a photo post.
Now.....I have two questions that I'd like answered.
1. Ladies....can someone please, calmly, explain to me why this is important?
I know I'm usually a smartass.....but not this time. I really want to know how it matters. How is number of reads to a post something about competition.

2. Men....how many of you consider, or care, about the number of reads to a photo post?

I'm asking this in all sincerity because I only know how I think...and learning how others do is helpful.
I don't notice, or care, how many 'reads' a photo post has.
If it's a lady known for good pics, or I find interesting, I'll click and look. If it's not someone who is my cup of tea, and I'll probably never visit...I won't click.
For me it's that simple....but I'm a pretty simple person....lol.

So....I hope this explains a bit about how the reads are racked up....and gives me some answers to questions I've had for a while.

does not get any consideration from me,  but unlike you I will look at almost anything once.  yes I am drawn to some more than others but that does not make me not look at all offerings.

Considering that I got 270 clicks on this post in about 38 minutes I stand corrected and appoligize for negitive inference towards those who posted photos in the daily photo thread this morning.  I guess there are more people on here at a give time than I thought.

someone is sitting and clicking on your post more than a few times. I have never seen that many views in such a short period of time

Such a thing draws attention to the post for whatever reason but that's what I would say is happening to any written post. A picture is far different since it has visual stimulation and will keep drawing the viewer back.

What DD said is so true, you have to click on the OP in order to respond.  Take a look at Provider Friday and you will see what I mean.  The only reason guys click on the OP is to respond with a shoutout to our favorite lady.

They have become a joke and waste of time in my opinion...they are so overdone, they just dont serve a purpose anymore.....but who am I to say anything, I was just on this board before they even existed and we had one hell of a lot more to talk about then pictures from the same people every day....
