So the couple was seeing a marriage therapist, and at the first session the wife went in first by herself and laid out her complaints. She told the therapist that her husband was just consumed with work. The therapist responded. “Yes, that can become a problem, but that can generally be worked out. Is there any thing else that you’re concerned with?” “Well” she continued, “He has this bad habit of picking his nose.” “Yes” the therapist agreed, “I can see how that would bother you, but is there anything else?” The wife paused for a moment and then said “Our sex life is just too boring. The therapist said “Well, I can see your concerns, but let me talk to your husband and see where he’s coming from.” So the wife exited the consultation room and the husband came in. The therapist said to the husband “Your wife has told me a few things about you that are bothering her.” The husband said “Stop right there. I don’t know what she told you, and I don’t even know why we’re here.
