Would this be a LE sting?

In this hypothetical scenario, you arrive to a provider's incall apt complex around 10 minutes early.

While waiting in the lot, you notice several cruisers and an investigations van moving around, changing parking spaces, and gingerly circling the complex.

While any prudent person would get the hell outta there right away, but not look too eager about it for all those watching, my question is would this be a sting? One would think LE would not be so obvious about it, if this were a sting, but then again who knows.

Any input on this scenario from the more experienced?

got there 10 minutes early... and a motorcycle cop pulls up right in front of the stairwell I needed to go to... at first I thought, uh-oh - but then why would they be there to scare me off.

He stayed - I called - and she was surprised - looked out her window and saw what I was talking about ... she then said, it's cool but I don't blame you if you want to leave. I left.

I think it was legit... but it really spoiled the mood.

Good move Dbara. I was sitting in the lobby of a hotel. Three uniformed walked in and went straight to the elevators. I walked straight the door and was on my way north.

Fellas,

You know we've all faced similar circumstances, behind the wheel, trying to 'score' back in the Bad Old Days, maybe changing a flat in a scary part of town after 2am...it doesn't always have to LE that scares us either, am I right?

I can't say what I'd do in a situation like that, I really can't. In my situation, of course, I'd be many miles from home, more than likely, and basically unfamiliar of where to go or where to wait it out, if that were an option...I think it's close to a 50/50 split: sometimes they're there to bust a party or transaction, and sometimes your sense of self- preservation is just in high gear, and for good reason. The safest thing to do is not always the most rewarding, perhaps, but...well, you know. Better safe than having to call an attorney unexpectedly, especially on a Saturday night!

I've been lucky, and I realize how blatantly foolish this'll sound, but in those situations, an awful lot of the times, I proceed with the plan, unless there are specific signs that pertain to my absolutely unexpected presence at the scene...say it with me now, it might work for you, too:

"There is no LE, only Zool."

It's catchy, no? Let me know if this works for you, too.

Okay,
Bobbo

Maybe they were running tags for warrants or..? Looking for some specific car or ?

sounds like a case of paranoia on your part.

Seeing an escort in itself is not illegal.

Possibly, but then, what is a person supposed to think when they arrive at an incall location (in an upscale area) and the coast is clear, and then as soon as the car is in park, the area is swarming with LE vehicles?

Nervous and apprehensive about going forward, obviously, but not scared of real trouble, since as you point out, no laws have been violated at that moment.

Most people would probably bail under these circumstances; its just not worth it. Paranoia certainly decreases the amount of fun to be had in this hobby, but to me, being a little paranoid is certainly better than being reckless and impulsive.
