There is a report that a competitive board is going black. It opens an opportunity to bring a lot of new members here. I would recommend all hobbyist invite any providers you know to TER and the same for providers to invite their favorite Hobbyist to TER. This report has been posted on their website.

Yep, it's official as of today.

there are reasons that other board was popular... not that I agree - I love TER. I've been in Dallas over a year now and have seen about 20 providers and I get all kinds of stories about that board... and personally I think it deserves to take a hit.

However there are a lot of well meaning people - guys and gals who don't know all the crap - but do depend on the service.

When that board went down for 10 weeks in the early part of 2009 I pleaded with TER staff to take advantage - I had some ideas - ??? - even got some board activity here - top 10 posters were all over 10, several at 20 plus and some at 50 plus posts in a month. The other board came back and activity here went down.

There is another board similar to the one going down that started about a year ago. Unless TER staff wakes up and adapts to what the hobby guys and gals want - this will be another missed opportunity.

The TER format is much more fun and interactive... but there are stoggy rules and procedures that hinder the newbie - and that is the main reason newbies go elsewhere - there's about to be 150,000 newbies from that other board...  hmmmm

I disagree.  The "other board" hobbyist could comment on reviews.  TER, you cant.

The Discussion forum on "the other board" you could quote someone and when looking though the posts, you could see who was posting to who. TER, you cant.

On "the other board" you could preview your post before submitting.  TER, you cant.

Dont get me wrong.  TER has done wonderful things for me and Ive got more reviews here in the 3-4 years Ive been , than I do the nearly 7 years "there".  TER's rules are their rules, and I like them.  I just wish you could be more "interactive" on certain forums.
