We tentatively scheduled an after 7pm callback to hook up on Superbowl Sunday...I made the call promptly at 7:30, and got no answer. Left a friendly "see you in a little while" message, and was answered almost immediately with a text message!
'SORRY COULDN'T MAKE IT MAYBE I WILL MAKE IT UP THERE SOMETIME SOON.' I texted back, something along the lines of "What's up, you okay?" Again, almost immediate response: 'I AM SICK.'
So, what can I say? No review to write on this one, and I was a bit bummed over it...oh well, next time--right? Final tally of the evening:
a lesson in life and hobbying... I have had dates scheduled with providers on 'hyper party' days and never connected... in fact, this past Christmas Eve and New Years Eve - she was all set to go, I bought her a case of her fav wine for a present... BOTH NS/NC ...
What you have to understand is this - if you are not a high roller, these gals get last minute requests on these kind of days... and when they say, i have a date already... the guy on the phone says, 'I'll double it' - guess what happens... it's the nature of the business.

Or it could be the provider has a life outside the hobby and chooses that over $$.
I hope it doesn't sound like I'm insinuating that the lady blew me off! The conditions were, while she was "stuck" in the area doing a club date or two, she'd be available, y'know...so we made a three- or four-day in advance date.
I believe she was possibly (really, fellas) just too ill to make it to town. It's about a 120 mile drive from Dallas, and I understand the circumstances and all...right?
So the tone of my post was more "bummed" than "pissed," if you get me.
Wanted to make that clear: This provider is still TOPS in my book, and after the current tour, I hope to make another go at it! No worries, fellas; but as I'm a beginner here (and maybe you are too), I'm sort-of lending my experience as a Rookies' Guide sort-of resource.
Not such a terrible idea, eh? And, Hell--this is a FUN board, and I'm in turn learning a lot myself, and that is all good. Selah.
bummed we got that too, and not pissed was clear as you acted (wrote) quite clearly... and handled yourself well. As a newbie, you might still be a little naive, keyword 'a little'.
If you posted this same stuff on another board you might get several PM's and dozens of posts... mostly helpful and few wise cracks... all in fun, but I think most would say what I have said, but as long as she called and you want to give her the benefit of the doubt, that is your decision. Hopefully, with time we all get a little wiser.
For a newbie you are doing the right things - air it out and get feedback - that's how you learn.
I once was stood up years ago, listened to why and gave her another chance and Wowza! she has been great. And the lady I referred to above that recently NS'd twice within a week, I still want to see her and have. Being with her far out weighs a few disappointments. One thing for sure, it doesn't really benefit anyone to cop an attitude in the hobby.
