What wine goes best with Carrie Hillcrest? Oenophiles worldwide have debated this question for years.

Some say a spicy Shiraz is the best pairing, because you'll be having such a hot time. Others think a mellow Merlot is ideal, to enhance the relaxation you're sure to feel. Still, some wine connoisseurs insist that a redolent Riesling is the only complement to her sweetness.

One guy we interviewed said he didn't know, a classy Chardonnay or something, but we don't put much stock in his opinion because Chardonnay is kind of gross and who uses a hackneyed adjective like "classy" anymore anyway?

I'd say 2009 Chateau Petrus ... elegant, distinctive (dare I say only for the elite?), intense (aromas) and multi-dimensional and impressively pure. BTW, if you can afford it, pick up a 2010 Petrus (should arrive in October 2013),and share that with Carrie ... that would be the perfect evening!
