Unfortunately there are not enough people who utilize this board in Texas as it is.  It would look really pitiful if we split the cities.

My suggestions is this: If we included the city in which we were targeting in the headline of our main post, it would alleviate the user from wasting their time by opening a post that wouldn't pertain to them.

Just my .02 cents! Wish this board was like Las Vegas but alas, old habits are hard to break even if they are bad ones.

Isn't this a matter of perspective ...

How can we (of Dallas ilk) manage the whole state of Texas? Let's talk serious geographical limitations (1,000 miles wide, 800 or 900 miles tall). No other regional board covers as extensive an area.

It seems it would be better to separate Dallas, Houston & Austin/San Antonio into regions and then try to solicit someone to be responsible to respond to requests in those areas. You could certainly develop topics and lists unique to those areas and be more helpful than we currently are.

That way it seems you would have more of an opportunity to develop strong regions rather than being spread so thin over the whole state that the Board remains ineffective.

In addition, until the other boards developed, the providers and hobbyist would still have a place to post their ad's and 411's but they would specific to the areas they were visiting rather than to the whole state.

There is another board that shall go nameless that dominates the Texas scene which is why you see so little action here.
