Hello I have been planning to visit Chicago for a while but since I dont know anyone there I've been putting it off...Now I want to plan a visit and need some pointers ,when is the best time to visit (from now to mid April) and where are the good area to stay...I will appreciate any usefull info

Everyone will have their favorite location, but the best thing you can do is split your time evenly between a hotel in the downtown area for the first half of your visit, then a hotel near O'Hare for the second half. That way, you'll have access to both the city people and the suburbanites and travelers.
