I totally agree with you gave out 72 hours' notice but maybe the providers maybe were by busy or out of town. Maybe it's not enough time to get screen, it could be a lot of reason beside that. I would suggest maybe try an agency with such a short notice. I think maybe 72 hours might be consider short notice.
Was visiting Chicago over the weekend and had some free time. Contacted 5 different providers with good TER reviews 3 days before my trip. Out of the 5, only one responded and we set a date. Then when I tried to contact her the night before an afternoon appointment to confirm and get the address, she ghosted me. Is it a seller's market in Chicago where the providers can be super choosy? I expect no reply all the time, but not 80% - especially 3 days in advance. I am always polite and respectful during my contact
I have only been to Chicago on FMTY’s. I am a reliable provider, so I don’t understand lack of professional courtesy. I’m sorry that happened. I pride myself on being respectable. Communication is key.

Hi Spek, That sucks, so sorry it was so difficult to get a response. I was just in Chicago earlier this week 15-17 Sept. From my perspective, for whatever it's worth, I was very busy there and will plan a longer trip next time for sure. I have heard that the ratio of men to women is out of proportion in Chicago, I have no idea if it's true. But either way it's a popular city, among the providers I know. So we like to visit often and I would think you could find someone... perplexing. In my case for example, anyone that booked 3-4 days in advance I was able to see. 24-48 hours, not so much. I did answer all inquiries though. I hope this helps!
long term regulars and traveling clients. I don't know who you choose, but if they had high reviews, chances are they are in fact that busy. Without advertising anywhere but X/Bluesky, I personally tend to book out 1-3 weeks in advance. I know of at least one girlfriend on the active TER top 10 in Chicago who books out even further.
I agree replies, even a "I'm unavailable" are professional and appropriate. And while not every companion will give them, an 80% non response rate seems pretty high. Did you read each companion's website? Follow her instructions for a first contact? Courtesy goes both ways, and unfortunately many clients who find companions on TER just email straight from the companions' reviews page, not doing a dive into what's she's asking for.
Ghosting after a date is set up...I won't dive into except to say I'm genuinely sorry it happened to you. I think we can all agree it's wildly unacceptable.
To sum up, I think with a little more advance planning, and perhaps a bit more research on the companions' websites, you'll have a lot more luck in the future!
Sorry that happened. If you were downtown I stopped going Downtown because business was horrible. It used to be amazing fun people but now it’s just ghosting and jerks. I just only do outcall now to city to hotels because it’s not enough business to get a room at Chicago prices. Oakbrook has been good to me though. Did you reach back out to the provider you booked with day of to confirm? Did her email go to your spam? I hope you have better luck next time!
